After reading a bunch of reviews, Me and the wife weren't sure about even coming here, We came in anyway, sure glad we did because the sushi was very excellent. If your looking for good sushi this is one fell into that category for us. Description, Smoked Salmon, dynamite rolls, Salmon, tuna, surf clam, mackerel, scallops sashimi Philadelphia roll, volcano roll There was a UFO piece on the plate with eggplant and some other stuff I can't quite remember but holy smokes was it delicious. If you see a UFO on the menu make sure you order one, two or six, Wasn't a big fan of the snapper sashimi but the rest of it was really good.. All you can eat only on Friday, Happy Eating
Wow the prices here are really good. It's better than many of the sushi places I have been in the states for sushi! Bear in mind that the sushi buffet is only on Fridays. The best option for feeding several people is to get one of their tray options. They have a variety of sushi rolls on all the different tray options. That way everyone can try a little of everything.
Clean place to eat,it's been a yr or so since we ate their, not much has changed but the the high price with usually means quality, but it's basic sushi 101 or rice sushi tuna and salmon sushi was ok tasted ok but beaded with alot of rice. Hand cones seemed to have alot of fish but it was loaded from top to bottom with rice can't say much more down to the rolls they Lach luster and imignation plus a little shine to the restraint would be nice service was at a sales pace I wonder if it's so you can feel full from rice, but in a pinch it might do!
What a rip off. Quarter size rolls, over $120 for a pint sized meal. People were nice, ordering was easy, sure wished i would have looked in the bag to see this disappointment before leaving.Food: 1/5
I wasn’t overly impressed with the quality of the sushi at Osaka. I ordered spicy rainbow rolls and they weren’t spicy at all. The seating area of the restaurant was really welcoming and nice but I found it kids that the cashier wore a mask but the guy making all the sushi for everyone want wearing a mask. Everything else seemed adequate so if you really want to get sushi go here but if you want really good sushi I’d go elsewhere.
Garbage service, RUDE staff, and over charging! Hardly heard from the wait staff, and the front of house manager...the only lady working there...conned us all into getting the All-You-Can-Eat so that we could sit together with our family friends. If we didn't all get the same deal, she said we'd have to sit apart. Dealing with the bill, they couldn't separate anything properly, they tried sneaking in a $5.00 charge for simply having our baby there, despite being too small to eat anything. The lady was rude, condescending, and obnoxious. Food was reasonable tasting. Won't ever come back!
I have order from Osaka via SkiptheDishes twice now. I absolutely love the tempura avocado. Would highly recommend the Sakura roll and Black Dragon roll. I had never tried eel before, but I greatly enjoyed it. Light fish taste but sauce atop the roll, pairs with the eel perfectly. Beautifully packaged. 10/10 highly recommend!!
My kids took me out for dinner for Father's day celebration and the following are my reviews: The sashimi is fresh tasting however we did not get a full serving of it based on "all you can eat" meal deal. $36 per person + gst. Grilled squid is good. The seaweed is good. The miso soup is good. The beef ribs were okay. The teriyaki beef is okay. The beef tataki wasn't rare but fully cooked! Dragon roll was salty. The shrimp and veggie tempura were heavily battered and oily. The server never get to check back to see how we're doing or what need like water refill, extra napkins, and had to ask for the orders they didn't serve us. Service not the greatest as there was only 1 server who does the phone ordering, the till, cleaning of tables. We waited for a good 45 minutes even before we get to order our food. In my observation, it looks like they're attending to phone orders for take out eventhough we were here first at the restaurant. By the time they get to serve our food, it was another half hour wait. Drove all the way here and I have to say the worst dining experience I've ever had considering it's a special occasion.
Did the all you can eat, tempura was cold. Tofu in miso was cold while the soup was hot. Server seemed stoned and was not tip worthy. They also let me know at the end that they charge per piece for leftovers. Won't be back, food was mediocre at best
The food is always amazing, The best sushi in spruce Grove and the beef udon is to die for, I'll always come back for sushi there when I can afford a day out. Staff are super friendly and accommodating.Food: 5/5
