This library is amazing! The staff is very nice and willing to help. Lots of seating options and places to study. I especially enjoy the fireplace area on a rainy day.

The remodeled building is nice. The book selection is pretty good. The staff is helpful. However, there doesn't seem to be any attempt at keeping the noise down, in fact, it seems that talking in a street voice and allowing kids to yell is the standard set by staff. I tried to study in the upstairs area by the window which is very nice - looks out on the street and has comfortable chairs and table, but many times the noise coming from the lobby area was so loud I couldn't concentrate. The sound from the lobby is magnified in the upstairs area. Perhaps this is the new etiquette in libraries, but it isn't conducive to reading or studying. Designating a quiet area would be helpful.

I 100% agree with Jake Carlson. I've given it several tries to get some study done, but it is like a noisy mall. There are lovely tables set upstairs that look inviting to a studier, however the surrounding computers attract noisy gamers, who treat the library like their living room. Even the staff are rowdy with their carts rolling back and forth on the tiled, echo-y ground floor. Bummer. I actually find the coffee shop more conducive to getting study done. So yes, check in and check out your books, but don't expect to find a quiet place to study at this library.

This library is amazing. Recently renovated with plenty of tables and space to chill out. Separate areas for various needs. Self check out machines. Friendly staff. In response to other reviews: lol libraries are not meant to be for quiet whispers and studying. Libraries are meant to be a resource to it's citizens. Even still I didn't find this location that noisy even after a toddler story time let out. Idk why all the complaints are about noise. Perhaps if you need silence to study, you should look into some academic libraries in the area. Maybe CCC let's public patrons study there. Academic libraries do tend to be quiet.

I positively love the library. I love everything about the place, even the smell of the books. Their selection is beyond excellent, audio books galore. Magazines to cruze through, big comfy chairs and even knitting classes and the one and only elevator book club. oregon city did a fantastic job and now it is so high tech you only have to breathe on a book and it checks itself out or in for you, now that is so cool!! Parking is a bit of a pinch, but that is because of these water fountains that allow the kids to run through and scream in delight at the peak of a hot day. There is a nice place to sit and let the water mist hit you and cool you down. it is such an awsome library, who could beat it, plus the staff are oh so nice and seem to never lose their professionalism. I positively love this place, this is my second home forever and ever lost in a good story.
