The dining hall is nicer than totem, but the food is about the same or worse. The seating is better but theres less of a community vibe. You can make milk tea out of a load of tea bags and some milk.
Definitely one of the nicest places to stay on campus if you're lucky and get in, well worth it. Only been in use since 2016/2017 school year! Neighbouring rooms are connected with their own bathroom, and only one student per room. Complete with a desk, bed, shelf, and bike holder. Rooms are very bright, the cafeteria downstairs is pretty good, and it has a laundry room. If you can get an upper floor especially facing Northwest you'll have a spectacular view.
Clean, concierge-style student accommodations in a modern setting specifically conducive to the right mix of social, studies and clean, quiet accommodations with an excellent kitchen to boot.
At the beginning of the year, I had no ideas who these O.C.R.A people were, but after getting to know them and attending all of their events I can happily say that they have created the best first year community at UBC. The events were really fun and the food was amazing, the best part? It was all free! They even gave out t-shirts, socks and stickers!!
A very new building and residence facility inside UBC. I have my classs there and the classroom is so new and fancy.
