So I’m writing this review based off my dozens of visits to opiano. This place was my go to place as a student and still come as a non student because of the delicious Korean food, the quick service and the friendly staff. It’s a order at the counter type of place where you order and then they give you a number. They display your number on this digital clock looking thing and once your food is ready, you pick it out at the front. The owner was always so friendly to us! I used to come here for their AMAZING red bean bingsu but now they don’t seem to be selling it anymore. I also LOVE their tteokbokki, Pork bone soup, tofu stew and spicy pork plate. This place will always have a soft spot in my heart, so highly recommend.
Tasty and filling lunch! The ingredients feel very fresh and the employees are super friendly. Will definitely be coming back here : In total the dish chicken bibimbap was $12.65 and it comes with soup.
As a student from McGill, this restaurant is regarded as one of McGill's cafeteria! Many students and people who work near by would always pay there a visit. Very nice food and the service is excellent. Strongly recommendFood: 5/5
Great Korean food, great service and great location! Strongly recommend Mandu Moochim and the spicy pork Japchae Bap!Food: 5/5
A little hidden gem in downtown Montreal. The pork bone soup is insanely good, the portion is huge and very well priced. The other items such as the chicken katsu and bulgogi beef are also very good! The only downside is they no longer serve bingsoo. Nonetheless, I still highly recommend this cozy little place
A delicious meal with tender and well marinated beef. The portion is large enough to fill you up. It came with a hot bowl of miso soup that is perfect for a cold winter day. The beef is nicely marinated. The salad dressing pairs really well with my favorite costco spring mix salad. Their menu also has kimbaps and many other interesting dishes which I’ll make sure to come back and try.
Learned about this place by goofing around on Google maps, looking for something to eat near work. Family style restaurant. I arrived shortly after opening and there was a bit of a lineup, but nothing major. I was kinda looking at the bone soup at first, seems like a popular dish, but I was in the mood for rice - quite a rare thing for me - so what better way to try out a Korean restaurant than with Bibimbap? Very good portion for the price - under 15$ with tax and tip, included a miso soup. Everything was fresh and tasty. My only criticism would be that the hot sauce wasn't spicy enough. Service was friendly. I'll definitely be a regular client here.
Wow! Fresh from Toronto and exploring - the food here was perfect… I felt like I was taken back to my days in Korea! Super friendly staff and delish
I’ve tried the pork bone soup and the soft tofu soup with beef and both are 10/10. Big portions, fair prices, hot and very flavourful. Especially the pork bone soup was a huge portion- so much meat for the price, it was 2 full meals!! Some of the best korean food I’ve tried. The seating area is very chill, you can choose where you sit and it’s very clean. I often will do work while I eat here as it’s very casual. They deserve way more hype.
The place is a blessing for McGill students - being close to campus, affordable, and their beef rib soup is just AMAZING. I still think of the place a lot after leaving Montreal for years.
