Our first visit today. We will definetly return. The coffe was great and the baked good were deliciois and fresh. The decor is well done. It seemed quite busy for a tuesday but still plenty of seating and room to move around. Its not a full fledged book store, but atill a great selection for a coffe shop / book store. Well balanced
This cafe is little jewel, rather small in space but compensates with great atmosphere, good coffee, superb oat cakes and other munchies. This, wraped in a nice, warm bundle of a bookstore - a must visit!
Love the Open Book Coffee Shop! My guest was on a rating mission for London Fog Tea i Halifax. Open Book scored very high. The pakoras were delish as well. And the shopping experience.....fantastic book and gift selection! This gem is unique, out of the way - and so worth visiting.
This cafe is so special with its wide selection of local books and vintage decorations. The friendly barista, who may also have been the owner , excitedly told me about his vintage pieces and art collections. A lovely place to visit and buy local.

Such a nice place. Charming and relaxed. Espresso and more. Oh, and the selection of local books is very good, matching the spirit of the place. I appreciate including a good selection of black literature being so near Africville
WOW!! What a hidden little gem of a coffee shop/bookstore. Just incredible. Wickedly good coffee drinks made with Certified Fair Trade, Certified Organic beans roasted by Laughing Whale in Lunenburg. They also sell a humungous selection of new books from a bunch of local publishing companies. There's a couple of different rooms, one like a little living room with a really cool graffiti mural sprayed on the wall free WiFi, a ton of free parking and the place has a terrific vibe!! I'll be back for sure!
The best kept secret in the North End! A beautiful coffee shop with an incredible selection of books for sale, suitable for anything from a first date to a regular book club. The owner knows his espresso drinks inside and out, and made us feel not just welcome, but more like old friends. I cannot wait to go back and sip a perfect capuccino while reading in the sunshine. Great job, well done!
