"Sit where ever you'd like" they need this sign at the front door. Many people entering are confused and not sure where to go. This has a great family run feel, and the staff works well as a team. The atmosphere is bright and lively. There are a feel booths but mostly high tops. In nice weather there would be a nice patio with large open space. The lemon chicken soup is good and very lemony. The chicken gyro is good, nice creamy sauce, the onions are very strong, so be warned. The broasted chicken is good size portion and I liked the home style potatoes but they could use a seasoning or some flavor. Try the karaoke for a night out.
Beautiful and newly updated. My family has been enjoying the fresh and delicious food here for years. Very attentive and friendly staff. Loved the fish the cheese bread and my pickey eater son loved the grilled cheese.
Stopped in for a drink on our way through. It wasn't terribly busy on a Saturday night in January. I ordered an old fashioned. My wife had Red Stag and ginger ale. Surprised they even had Red Stag! The old fashioned was on point and they even keep a stash of ice spheres which was definitely a step above. Bar service was quick and friendly. We are chips and salsa and it was a good snack. There were some arcade games around to play, high top tables and a few booths as well. The bar was pretty long, lots of seating. There was another spot in the back of the restaurant with a second floor seating area that looked like reservations only maybe, I didn't ask. Definitely a neat place to check out.
We came for lunch. The inside is clean, airy, and welcoming. The staff was very friendly. The food was good. I had their fish sandwich with onion rings.Food: 4/5
We dined here last Thursday and my meal was fabulous! It is so pleasant that you have a tuna steak option and other healthy options available. The tuna steak was perfectly prepared medium rare served on a bed of fresh wilted spinach, roasted asparagus, and sesame sticky rice. Well done Chef! I saw the specials menu for the week before that offered shrimp tacos. I will go more often to try the Chefs new fresh offerings! Dietary restrictions: Healty options are available
I have never had bad service here until yesterday. My dad, cousin and I went to have lunch; for some reason we had 3 different waitresses. Two of them were super nice, but the other one was very rude. After they cleared our plates, we were finishing up our drinks and talking. The one waitress came up to us and asked if we wanted another round, when we said were OK for now, she rudely said to us "you're ready for your check then"? And laid the check down. We felt rushed and felt she wanted us to leave for the table. They were not even busy at the time.
I hadn't been in a long time, and a lot changed in that hiatus! I walked into a very busy bar-like restaurant with no direction on whether we had to wait for a table or just sit wherever was open we went with the latter. It took a long time for anyone to come over to our table. She was very nice, but she also took a while to come back to get our order/drinks/food. It was clear they were very understaffed. The food took a long time to come out. Also, each of our meals came out at different times, with around 3-5 minutes in between each person's meal. Although I received my food last, I ordered one of the specials Tuna Bowl, and it was very delicious.
I love this restaurant. My husband and I take our 3 small kids almost every week. We could go elsewhere but we always wind up back at OPA. They have a great variety on their menu to choose from and they create new specials every week. Not only is the food incredibly good, the staff is always very attentive and so friendly! It's a great spot to take the kids out for dinner. But it's not just a kid-friendly place, they have a huge bar, lots of TVs for whatever games are on and a lot of drink options too. On rare occasions when we've got someone to watch the kids, this is where my husband and I like to go on our own for a date night. We've pretty much been every where else around Lake Orion and other spots are good too. But Opa is easily our favorite Lake Orion restaurant and I can't praise the food and staff enough. Sometimes we even just get takeout for a good meal at home. We always have a great experience and great food at Opa. Kid-friendliness: 100% They've got kid options on the menu and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating with kids - booster seats and high chairs. We accidentally left our baby wipes behind and they saved them and remembered to give them to us the next time we came in.
Many options for food and drink, frozen drinks are priced on the high side, but taste great. Always have different daily specials to choose from as well. Waitress by committee it seems, so you're never left waiting too long.Food: 5/5
I've been going to lunch here weekly for the past few months, and I like everything about this restaurant. The food and service are both great. I will say that it is the 3 great pinball machines that keep me coming back though. I love getting in a few solid games during lunch break.Food: 5/5
