I realize that there was a serious accident north of Parry Sound last night. However, the traffic that was being detoured onto highway 124 was not being monitored at all. At 4:30am this morning the 400 northbound just south of the highway 124 ramp was completely blocked by transport trucks stopped on the shoulder and both lanes of the highway. I called the police who said they would send someone out to take care of it. After another 20 minutes of waiting I found a way through to the off ramp. Once on the off ramp the road was completely clear. I am disgusted with Parry Sound OPP. And I am disgusted with the truck drivers for causing such a mess. It was completely uneccessary. This is the second time that I have been caught up in a traffic jam in the Parry Sound area that was avoidable.
Ok first off let me say that I am not a fan of the provincial police system. With that being said I believe that the good must be reported when you see or hear of it. An young officer with blond curly hair saw my friend outside the bar called Rumorz in Parry Sound and saw that she was not dressed for the weather. He actually asked her if she needed a lift home and he did just that. I feel this young man went far beyond his duty to keep her safe. In my mind he is a shining star for doing what he did. He kept a beautiful soul safe and did a service to the entire community. I would really like to know who this officer is and thank him personally. If you do read this please comment. Your simple act of kindness made a huge difference. You my friend ROCK.
The morning of Tuesday, April 11th with out question started out with a bang! A person ran into the back of my car as I was at a stop sign. I moved over to the side anticipating the driver to pull behind me but they continued on. Then from the police dispatch to the care & concern from Cst. Danielle Shonk was simply exemplary. Cst Shonk also informed me that another driver who witnessed the collision followed the driver until the police arrived. Other concerned drivers also called in. Being new to the area how can I tell you all how much that care meant to me. With my little dog unharmed in the back of the car & all that kindness from my new community l'm feeling very blessed. ....even the dents to the car aren't bothering me.....much ; Lois & Buddy
None of the officers knows what there doing! They tell the people they are holding and there families wrong court Dates! They also didn't put my friend in the system. No one knew where he was being held. They held him for 2 days fed him Mc Donalds but would not let him brush his teeth. This was over a 10 year old fine. They treat you like an animal.
