I absolutely loved this campground. It is privately owned and operated, spacious and not crowded. The Winooski River was right next to my campsite and my dog and I enjoyed cooling off in it on hot days. The owners were hospitable and created their own community with the campers. I truly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to you if you need a peaceful beautiful campground to call home while visiting Vermont. Some of the pedestals weren't working properly, no sewage hookups. But the main gripe, and the reason for only three stars, is that the owners kept moving seasonal campers (who paid for the WHOLE season) out of their sites for big events like weddings. The campers were moved to a place with no electricity so that event goers could take over their spaces for the events. This double booking is probably not lawful not to mention the hardship it put them through. One person I spoke with was moved three times last summer.

Great little place. Stayed one night here in a tent with my two boys. The owner is a genuine farm lady. And makes you feel very at home. Tent camping is right on the river and showers and a bathroom are available. She also sells fire wood which was handy for us.

Beautiful stream that runs through. Spacious sites. Accommodating staff. Some sites say they have electricity. Service but do not but new owners. I'm sure things will improve.

Staff very nice . Bridge into campground narrow and road very rough. Campground itself was good, grassy spots with electric and water.

This is a small park along a scenic state highway, 15 mins to Montpelier or Barre. A river runs beside the campground which is quite nice (though the local traffic seems to be almost as loud). There are apple trees from which you can freely pick fruit. Free firewood sits on the ground covered in weeds, near building debris and a shack out back. Some of the sites had issues. The full hookups seem pretty well occupied. All in all, a decent rate for a peaceful setting with friendly folks.
