Oneida County Sheriff

I went to get my ID, last Monday She was on vacation. Which wasn’t a problem, until I arrived today and she left work early. Mind you I live 55 minutes away, how are you going to leave work early after being on vacation and only working 2 days out of the week. This is ridiculous!

My Mercedes Benz was stolen and I called the police and they didn't even do a stolen vehicle report to prevent it from being sold. Today I found out my car was sold by the their that was never arrested.

Very professional and prompt patrol officers! I’m a natural skeptic when it comes to folks wearing lethal weapons so thought I’d add my 2 cents. Note, this is not a good, nor bad, review/recommendation of their investigative or corrections functions because, as a victim of serious crimes with bodily injuries, I have had no successful experiences in those matters or with the Oneida County Sherriff and deputies in those roles. Tbh the intra-agency politics of local taxpayer-funded policing seem to be grossly cumbersome which leaves criminals free to prey on others and leaves us “victims” frightened, angry, confused, and frustrated. So no love for OC Sherriff, NYS Troopers, or FBI for their victim protection or victim justice advocacy skills. My only suggestion to those of you wading into murky criminal justice system waters is that you, if possible, work with your locally funded police force if you want the “human touch” and to be kept reasonably informed on how your case is being handled

This is the next best Sheriffs Department next to Lewis County Sheriffs Department.
