This placed changed ownership a couple years ago. Ever since then it's been absolutely fantastic. Great portions, friendly service, and delicious food! The person preparing the food is super nice. They are much better than the other OneTwoThree Sushi places I've been to. The only downside is sometimes the line can get a little long during the lunch rush. Otherwise, this is my favorite place to get lunch in St Paul.
If you are looking for decent sushi, look elsewhere. Their raw options are far from fresh, the salmon was frozen inside my roll. They doust the roll with sauce and crunch, masking any other flavor. Their Japanese rice bowls seem to be a hit, so maybe give that a try.
Great service and fast! I didn't know they make poke bowls! I wasn't going to try it but Damn I just miss it so much from my Hawaii trip I gave in. I asked for salmon instead of tuna poke. At first, I saw the gentleman took out a small slab of salmon and cut it up. It was really small. I was like, dang, I can eat more than that! But literally, while I was eating it, I'm glad he portioned just right for me! It was just enough, and was delicious! Will come again on days that feels like 123Sushi
Sloppy sushi. Every time I go here for lunch, my sushi is made by the same person and she does not roll it tightly enough. It falls apart as I try to eat it, and it doesn't taste very good either. I think it's because she drowns it in spicy thai sauce. I wanted the sauce, but I want to be able to taste the sushi too.
They have an open preparation counter where you can watch everything being put into your order. They staff is warm, open and friendly. I ordered a chicken teriyaki rice bowl with the white rice ginger infused! and shrimp fried egg rolls. The rice bowl was perfectly proportioned and with the egg rolls finished, I had a second lunch meal with the leftover bowl. Seating here is small, since the location is in the skyway, but you could find ample seating in the other food court. If you like freshly prepared rice, cold vegetables and fresh fish give this a try if you're ever in the operating skyway hours!
It’s busy during the lunch hour but they turn out a sushi roll in 2 mins flat for your pure enjoyment. The steamed bulls are delicious too just a little difficult to eat - like a messy mini taco.
I stopped here for your make-your-own sushi roll, and it was fantastic! Fresh, tasty, and the best sushi roll I've had. I wasn't too impressed with the buns, but otherwise I was pleasantly surprised. Will come back again
They weren't going to tell me they didn't have eggs for the ramen, the meat wasn't prepared fresh or even hot, they put spicy mayo in my ramen, and the broth wasn't that good. And they only filled the broth cup halfway. I tried to pay with a card and they asked for cash. I had no idea what was going on.
This is a sushi restaurant for people that don't actually like sushi. Their raw selections are extremely limited and very far from fresh. However, they offer a wide range of "crunchies", "sauces" as well as fried fillings to compensate for the lack of fresh options and/or just cater to people who don't actually do sushi in any form other than maki, and tempura-laden maki at that. No judgement here - I get that raw fish textures are ... challenging. If you actually like sushi, go to Bento Box just across the skyway. If you once tried nigiri or sashimi and nearly puked, this place is for you.
I love this place!!! I eat here for lunch 2-3 times weekly! The best sushi location in downtown! Owners are awesome and caring, perfect place to have lunch!!! Highly recommended!!
