It was pretty expensive for the service I recieved. The total cost was was about 450$ for two tax returns and the selling and purchasing of our house. They made a few minor mistakes on our return information like birthdays and relationship status and we also got audited for year they did our taxes. Those two facts may be mutually exclusive however they also didnt provide much help in regards to the audit. On the positive side the man was nice when I spoke to him on the phone but the help was minimal. I spent 4 days gethering documents and calling the CRA trying to figure things out. So due to what I experienced and the price I would not recommend using one to one accounting. Do what you will with this review.
For 10 years One to One Accounting has been doing our personal and my business income tax. They have done a great job and have been very helpful with all of our needs. I have recommended both personal and business customers to them because of their great business. On completion of our income taxes this year we received our invoice and were shocked by the increase. Our personal fee went up 35% and my business went up 50%. When I questioned them about it I was told that with Covid and other expenses they needed to raise their fees and that our fee had been to low for too long. My response was; I don’t have a problem with an increase but 35% and 50% in one year is ridiculous. I was also very frustrated with them not letting me know the substantial increase before I sent them our income tax information. I can understand an increase but I would have preferred smaller increases more often over the years rather than one big increase in one year. For these reasons we will not be returning to One to One Accounting.
