On the Run

This is a specialized place for running equipment. From little accessories like sunglasses to bike. Im tennis player not a runner, I have a problem with my feet that are flat and have a bunion too, racquet guys send me to this place to buy insole for my shoes. I love them and went back and bought 2 more. I asked my son to buy also. They have a box for recycle shoes. I think this is a great idea. Staff are very polite and caring. Since I was so happy with my shopping I like to show it to everyone else to enjoy and be comfortable too. Thanks

I'd looked at a couple of stores in downtown Toronto, but service was a little disappointing, to say the least. Randomly found this on Google Maps and decided to take the time to drive up there. Ken helped me, was funny, and after reviewing my old running shoes he recommended one shoe ugly as hell, but whatever ;-. I tried 6 different pairs after that but the first one he told me fit like a glove! Let's see if I can also put 1500km on these! He was also knowledgable about supplements, helped my by looking for older more affordable models, offered to subscribe for a 10% discount... 10/10 - definitely coming back.

I was looking for a good pair of running shoes for my trip to Italy. I’m usually quite lazy and do not exercise enough and with a serious heart condition, I was concerned about all the walking I was going to be doing. I called the store and spoke with Nick for about 20 minutes. He answered all my questions and gave advice without knowing if I would even come into the store. So nice. Well, I did go into the store and was served by Ken. He asked several questions including where I was going, etc. I was brutally honest and told him about my heart condition, my lack of enough exercise, etc. He was so patient. We went through the process of having him watch me walk so he could assess my particular needs. Well, he suggested maybe 3 makes that he felt would work for lazy me. I bought the ones that felt most comfortable and went on my trip. I walked about 18,000 steps a day for over a week and not ONCE did I have a complaint about hurting feet, blisters, etc. The most comfortable sneakers I have EVER worn based on my needs. I have found my forever sneaker store! The nicest and most knowledgeable people I have ever found! Without a doubt they are my one and only recommendation if you are looking for quality, comfort and people who really care!

Generous shipping and return policies for online orders; bright, comfortable, commodious in store shopping experience with free parking lot; excellent selection of current and older styles; great promotions and friendly, patient and helpful staff. I don't live nearby but have purchased 5 pairs of shoes at great prices in a year and am glad to have this dedicated running shoe and apparel store with an on site customer washroom as an option for my footwear needs, in particular. The staff here were great. I always have a hard time finding comfortable shoes but I didn't have trouble here. The staff were helpful and patient, they recommended many different models and brought out various sizes to make sure I walked out satisfied. Will definitely be going back.

Was on the search for the best RACE running shoe, had checked several places such as Blacktoerunning and whatever other stores were recommended. They showed me shoes that offered sub-par performance and frankly weren't even race shoes. Running Free was the only store to offer proper race shoes and a wide selection of them that I did not know of either. highly recommend this place, and the service as well was top notch, and I will definitely come again for any shoes I need.

Many staff but the service isn't present. Attitude more like buy it or go away. If you have a self service shoes shop expectation, you will have a better experience , don't expect to ask staff to check for stock /new shoes/ color.

John helped me today to fit me with a pair of Hoka challengers and socks fit for winter running. He was so helpful and I would love to recommend him and the store. A massive selection and incredibly knowledgable. Thank you so much for the great customer service!!

Had the pleasure of talking with Nick. Nick took the time to assess my foot and my gait and recommended a pair of shoes Brooks Ghost 14 that all but relieved my foot pain. Enjoying jogging again! Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Amazing store & staff. I found them online, called and spoke to Sue on the phone and decided to drive there for an hour because I needed someone who can help me select the right shoes. I was not disappointed. Sue took the time to help me out with trying on and considering a variety of shoes until I picked the right ones and the right sizes for me. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have great sales too. I’ve bought 2 pairs from them and I’m very happy with my purchases. Totally recommend Running Free!
