The pizza was really good. I'm not a crust guy, but this crust was amazing. Lite and flakey. Cheese curds were good, but that pizza was wow.
Good food, skilled staff, nice facility. Tried the cheeseburger, cheese curds, mushroom soup, and a beer. Everything was prepared well. Experience was cordial. Years ago, the cheesecurds here were the best I ever tasted. They are different now, but good. I understand the challenge and necessity for the establishment to make a profit, and some balance could help with that. A small-town business can further thrive by cultivating a healthy relationship with its community. For example, if a two-dollar additional charge to have cheese on a burger deters many customers from returning, perhaps that is a hindrance to profit. The subtle traits of above-average starting prices, numerous additional charges, limited menu options, and below-average portion sizes all add up to deter some customers from making regular visits, who instead eat elsewhere where they feel more generously received. However, the high-quality food, ambiance, service, and name of On the Cruncy Side deserve great business, so I hope some more balance can help with that. Overall, I have a positive impression of the bar-and-eatery, and would be happy to see it reap the benefits of its full potential. Tasty!

The owner cooking the kitchen was very unfriendly. We walked in with a group of 5 and waited to be served. A group 6 who walked in a bit after we did was served first. After waiting a bit longer, we decided to pay for our drinks and eat elsewhere. The looks and stares made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Our family was disappointed, but I was especially so being from a small town myself. Any kind of kindness would have made our short experience better.
My new favorite restaurant. Had Shepherd's Pie today for St. Paddy's Day and it was the best I have ever had. The staff was awesome.
Outstanding customer service and excellent food! Most restaurants have premade food that tastes fairly the same. However, 'On the Crunchy Side's food is made fresh, daily. We were served by Lisa ?, who was very cordial and made sure that everything was fine. The 'On the Crunchy Side' Restaurant has just become my favorite place to eat out! Thanks y'all!!
We were turned away! 3 adults and 3 kids. We wanted to stop somewhere local to eat after we toured the cave. As we walked in there wasn't a table open there was seating at the bar but the large group at the table said they just got done and we're leaving and we could sit there. The woman that was bartending she was very nice and apologetic informed us that the owners that were cooking said they wouldn't except a group of 6. It wouldn't have been overly busy since the large group was leaving and we glady would have been patient. Our children would have shared our food and being understanding we would have ordered something simple. We weren't even given that option. Very disappointed!
Fantastic food and my kind of people. We rode our motorcycles from Tennessee so my friend could visit the owner. What a great trip and this places is one of the highlights! Servers were perfect and are good sports. 100% recommend this place if you want real food from real people. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel at home. PS Beautiful country here but I’ve never seen so much damn corn in my life LOL
The Skipper burger keeps bringing me back. My wife likes the food too! Good beer selection, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely gonna make the 15 min drive here a few times a month. I love this bar and grill!
