OMY Chicken

VERY good boneless Korean fried chicken. Tried both "seasoned" and 'garlic" flavoured sauces....we especially enjoyed the sweet slightly spicy seasoned sauce. Very crispy chicken yet not dried out inside at all. Pickled daikon on the side is a nice touch. Owner is very nice guy who had a good laugh when I asked for his sauce recipe.

Great little spot in a plaza. Seems fairly fish-forward at first but we ordered some half and half chicken, fried and seasoned. Both have great flavor, salty enough. White meat was a bit overdone but dipped in the seasoned sauce it was still delicious. Good sized order of fries as well.

Do you like crispy, made-to-order fried chicken? Just go to this unassuming spot to have your mind blown. Disclaimer: the portions are for at least 2 full-grown hungry people. I tried the seasoned fried chicken which is a delicious sweet and tangy sauce I imagine it's vinegar, chillies, sugar, garlic, etc. that isn't spicy at all. This made my week and was an early mother's day gift to myself. Enjoy!

When I arrived outside the restaurant it seems very local. However! After trying the garlic chicken I am completely WOW by it. I think this place would definitely be one of the best Korean style fried chicken in North America. Really try it for yourself!

Highly recommend. It's a small little local shop, but the chicken is very crispy and juicy, the sauce is excellent, and the fish was nice and flakey. The fries are okay, not bad, but not good either. We ordered the seasoned chicken, which is a mix of sweet and a mild spice, and the halibut with fries.

First time to try Korean fried chicken and OMY didn't disappoint. There was only 2 of us and we made the mistake of ordering the large, not realizing this was a huge serving good for 5-6 people. If you're going there for the first time, I suggest getting the half+half, that way you get to try 2 flavors. We only had the seasoned chicken. Chicken was super crispy with a moist interior. The sauce was too tangy and salty for me, with a tiny bit of heat. Will definitely come back to try other varieties. The restaurant is a very "local" , mom n pop, hole in the wall affair. For me, it means cozy and appealing Overall, it was a great experience. Will recommend this place to my friends.

Went to this place on October 21, 2022. The place looks a bit run down. My hope for good fried chicken is somewhat lowered. I ordered Large half and half. Half Seasoned and Half Garlic. The Good Nice portion. Chicken is lightly fried and not the super crunchy type. I know some like more crunchy and some don’t. Garlic sauce is very garlic ! It’s almost like honey garlic and I love it. Seasoned is the typical Korean sauce which is tangy. I prefer Garlic more as Seasoned can be too saucy. Chicken tastes fresh and not over cooked! Some pieces are quite soft. The Bad Too many bones. They cut them into smaller pieces. I am from Taiwan so eating with bone isn’t an issue but my friend is Canadian and he thought there are too many bones. I hope this mom and pop store can have a Boneless option. They can probably charge a bit more of that takes time to prepare. I say if you are craving for good saucy chicken, this OMY chicken is very decent.

Food was really good! Got the special half and half seasoned and spicy seasoned sauce and poutine. Great portion for the price. Customer service was fantastic. Thank you!

Ordered seasoned fried chicken and padak fried chicken. Very crispy and the chicken tastes fresh. Also ordered tteobokki, not pictured here. The Korean fried chicken place also doubles as a fish and chips place. The decorations are adorable.

This was my second order. I can say this chicken is the best Korean chicken in GTA!!!! I ordered soy sauce chicken for the first order and the taste was amazing and I stated to like here. And I order seasoned chicken today, but it wasn't the Korean seasoned chicken I know, but I think this is better. I like this place so much. I will order all the flavors that they have and try them! I'm so exciting! FYI, the radish pickle tastes soooo good it tastes similar to Korea. maybe even better. If there were any additional comments when ordering, I would have written down more radish pickle haha
