Old Time Chinese Cuisine

First time visiting this restaurant with my family. We were greeted by a friendly staff and was seated at the far end table next to an electric fireplace. We ordered the spring roll, which usually only have 4 pieces, but they gave us extra pieces since there were 5 of us. He also kindly tone down the salty level of all our orders upon request since we had three seniors. All of the dishes were delicious, with my favourite being the cumin flavoured lamb. I would definitely revisit again. Side note: their chicken soup is made upon ordering so it’s better to order it a few hours before arriving or when you make the reservation.

If you want friendly service and a relaxing meal with good quality Chinese southern food, this is the place to visit! I was shocked by how kind all the staff were. Typically, Chinese restaurants are about efficiency, but here the staff checked in, joked around, and never made us feel rushed. The food was made fresh. The steamed noodles take about 15 min to prepare so order that first! The lamb, eggplant, and noodles were excellent. The lamb was spicy and flavourful. Portions were generous, especially the noodles.

Probably has become one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in the Scarborough area. The menu is simple and not overly complex too many options and pages gives me a headache. The food is delicious and cooked in a northern Chinese style with a lot of flavour and spices. What stood out to me specially was the pig intestines dish, I don’t even like pig intestines, but it was tender and cleaned properly. The portions are generous for the price you’re paying along with the over all quality. Owner is, well, amazing, definitely still in the holiday spirit, very humble man.

First time here. Restaurant isn’t busy at the moment but even so I’d say the owner has made us felt like home like never before. The owner is very friendly, absolutely kids lover. He’d make you feel like he’s been your lifelong friend. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and it makes me feel absolutely comfortable resting my arms on the table. From start to serving food, store owner did it all by himself. Food served with steel lid covered - never seen this in any Chinese restaurants. Extremely impressed. Food is delicious. The quality of ingredients the restaurant uses are top notched. The fried rice is the greatest I have had so far. That aroma when it was served on the table was unforgettable. Pork was fresh and tender. Spicy fish was crunchy. That texture is unheard of. You have to try it yourself. Even the complementary tea was prepared out of some great tea leaves that you won’t normally get from a normal Chinese restaurant. 200% recommended!

My family and I recently dined here for a weekend lunch and it was a fantastic experience! The service was amazing, the waiters and waitresses were all so kind and very attentive to our every need without us even needing to ask! The dishes also tasted amazingly and my parents approved of the flavour as well. The decor is also very cute and pretty and the washrooms are extremely clean and they kept cleaning the place as we dined as well! The eggplant dish was my favourite, give this restaurant a try!

The steamed noodles were a huge portion, could feed 4 people easily. General Tso Chicken was delicious and a very large portions well. Great place for families and children. Price per dish a bit high in my opinion. Customers mainly speak mandarin. Wish their menu had some photos to help with ordering. Private room for 10 people available. The portion for the stir fry eggplant was a bit small for $16. Service is a bit slow as the owner is the only server and he loves to talk. Lots of parking.

Amazing find! Our first time here but definitely not the last! We ordered crispy duck, and eggplant with beans and it was delicious! So far the best experience of Chinese cuisine in the city. Place is spotless and staff very friendly.

Our favourite Chinese restaurant in North York! The food is amazing, and it has beautiful decor. Don't forget to look up at their ceiling!
