Wanted to try this place for so long and so glad I finally did! Ordered a noodle soup with the potato noodles and the beef had the nice amount of fast to meat ratio. The potato noodles were clear and golden brown. Slippery, yet goes so well with the soup and the meat. And when you order noodles soups from elsewhere, it stays hot for a few mins. Here, it stayed hot, literally the entire meal! About 25 minutes! The cast iron pot they used to keep the noodle soup in definitely made a huge difference! The interior has an old school china feel, but luxed up with some awesome chandeliers! Great noodle place for those cold or rainy days that you just want a bowl of comfort. The waiter was very nice and cheerful helping his out with whatever we needed. Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
We ordered the spicy broth with handmade noodles and brisket meat was a bit tough and dry, the broth was flavourful but not spicy and a good amount of noodles and the bone broth with handmade noodle and spicy beef rib mostly bone with minimal meat that was tough but flavourful and the broth was bland. Bill came to $38.
Great noodle shop. Their soups are amazing and tasty and the stone bowls keep it warm to the last drop. Will definitely be back for more. We had the braised beef soup and rice dish with a side of marow bone soup and salad . The chairs on the curb side could be more comfortable.
Recently visited, while walking in the neighbourhood. Tried two appetizers and two pots. The rice noodles were fantastic! We chose mildly spicy options that lifted up the flavour!
Really enjoyed my visit to this place. The menu had good variety and the food was delicious. I ordered the Beef Intestine Noodle Soup and I enjoyed it a lot. The intestine was very tasty and the noodles were the highlight. They absorbed some of the broth and were filled with flavour. The decor and the atmosphere was really pleasant too. They didn't have alcohol for some reason, although it was listed on the menu, but that didn't take away from the experience. Highly recommended visiting this place.
Tried the soup noodles with spicy chicken, you will definitely feel very full. Also, the server was pretty friendly and detail oriented, offer to refill our soup and ask how do we like our food so far. Definitely will go back again!!!
The beef noodle soup had a very rich and tasty broth. Unfortunately the toppings were scarce 2 pieces of gailan, a few pieces of cut up tofu, a small amount of beef. The quality of beef was typical for a mainland China restaurant, meaning that it was fatty or riddled with cartilage. Overall, it was pretty decent and had fast service.
An average place that serves average noodles. They’re having promotion to leave five stars reviews on google in order to get a free drink so I’m here to leave an actual honest review. The soup tastes good but the size is small, and there is only three pieces of meat in a bowl. Honestly speaking it’s not horrible, but definitely not the best noodle place on this part of the Yonge street either.
Very authentic food! Just the right amount of spice level for me.
Great little restaurant, affordable and excellent traditional chinese food.
