Terrible terrible general manager Janelle - is rude and condescending and laughed in my face. Would give 0 stars if I could. Possible racial profiling.nnToday I went into this location to make a return. I had bought an outfit for my baby and taken all the tags off and misplaced the receipt but when I went to put the outfit on for the first time, there was a huge hole in the bum. I had remembered the cashier telling me that receipts are saved on profile by phone number at time of purchase.nnThe cashier grabbed his manager and asked if we could look up the purchase by phone number. Before even looking, she said “If anything even comes up” in a really rude tone as if she didn’t believe I purchased the product.nnI gave the number and she said nothing came up, we then tried to scan my credit card and again nothing came up. I knew something was wrong because at time of purchase, the cashier had confirmed the name on file connected to number and I could see the purchase on my credit card.nnI asked if we could look up my number again in case it was entered wrong. In an extremely rude tone she said “I told you already. There is nothing we can do. I keep repeating myself” as she is smiling and chuckling. I calmly asked if she could talk to me respectfully - human to human. As background, I used to work retail and I know how it can be and am now a child psychologist so it’s not in my nature to be rude to retail workers. I wanted to connect to see if she could simply answer my questions but it was clear she just wanted me out.nnI asked if I could show her my bank statement or or if maybe it wasn’t coming up because I bought at a different location. Again, she chuckled and said “AGAIN, there is nothing I can do.nnFinally, she gave me a number for old navy’s call centre and told me I could leave as I was just trying to write it down.nnShe followed me out of the store and when I asked her if she was following me, she said no I’m hanging up clothes but was so close to me walking at the same speed. This part really was triggering for me. I’m just a mom.nnTo make matters worse, the west Edmonton mall location who were amazing and this reflects nothing on were able to pull all my details through both my phone number and my credit card so it proves that she didn’t care enough to try. Even if it could have only been pulled up by the store of purchase, I asked her this previously and she brushed me off.
I was shopping with my daughter tonight at this location as well, was very impressed by everyone working that night! Awesome friendly staff ! All helping us find some clothes that fit, were welcoming, friendly, great staff! A huge welcome to Tanya the manager, Ashley, and a tall guy don’t know his name who also helped us find clothes. Great team !
Good quality clothing at a reasonable price for the whole family. I like the style of the clothing and I always find something I like. This location is clean and the staff I met were friendly and courteous plus helpful. I end up spending a while in the store so I find the background music fun to listen too. They always seem to have a good sale so it pays to go fairly often. I like Old Navy and will continue to come to the to various stores that are close by, this location, West Edmonton Mall and Sherwood Park
Loved the place. The staff was very helpful assisted me finding the items I wanted. The clothing was reasonably priced with a great selection.
First time ever in an Old Navy store for me. I was truly impressed with the variety and choice of quality clothing. We stocked up for ourself and the grandkids. They have lovely baby and toddler clothes which we could not resist. The staff left us blessedly alone while we browsed but at check out they proved really nice and helpful. This was the store on 137 Ave.
