The restaurant serves delicious food! We went there for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is classy. The garden around the restaurant is beautiful and the front area is a great place to take photos. Parking is available across the street paid.
Well established restaurant. We went for brunch buffet. Parking is about 2 mins walk outside the restaurant. Don’t need to show up on time. They won’t seat customers if you come there early. It’s a nice family restaurant. Not a single diner wore joggers pants with running shoes on the day. I think it’s great to see. Expect toddlers crawling around. I think it’s not cute if kids touching the floor and then grab the skewer to enjoy the chocolate fountain. Kids are not free between certain age. And expect spending more than 60 without drinking alcohol nor soda I will go again for special occasions. Service is good.
My husband and I were lucky enough to get a last-minute spot for the Old Mill Christmas Eve buffet dinner experience. Great variety and amount of food themed on holiday classics. There were several kinds of appetizers, seafood choices, charcuterie, mains, and desserts. We left extremely happy and satisfied. Our favorite was definitely the live Turkey and Lamb station with different gravies and stuffing. The only minor issue was the lack of wait staff around when needed, but that is understandable considering how busy the night was. Definitely recommend and would do it again
What a stunning restaurant. The place transports you to the early 1900s. The heritage property is mesmerizing. Conveniently located in Toronto, the restaurant gives you a classy British vibe. We dined at the patio near the water fountain, the food and the hospitality is top notch too. I would recommend indoor than the patio if you’re a fan of Neo gothic architecture.
We brought our family here for a birthday weekend brunch. The brunch buffet is well priced for adults and children, the food is truly outstanding not one thing was “just ok” but what will live in our memory is the service. They spoiled the person we wanted to spoil and I will never forget that. This is a place with history in Toronto, nice to see it is still so well run.
Wild mushroom ravioli was creamy and delicious $26. Peach cobbler peaches were fresh and sweet, covered in glaze. The ice cream it came with however had freezer burn. The dessert was way too small for $14. We sat on the patio which was beautiful with the fountain in the background, and moved inside when it rained. I've also come for the brunch buffet which was delicious. Overall I am a big fan of the old mill.
We did not have a reservation. However, my friend called in a week ago to confirm if we can walk-in. They offered us the snack menu instead of brunch our mistake I understand. The place was nice, the weather was great, our server tho, was passive aggressive and argumentative to the max. I understand we did not make a reservation, the snack menu only had 5 courses. We drove all the way from DT Toronto with heavy traffic. We decided to get everything except a salad that was clearly labeled vegan. The server did not warn us that every course we ordered was going to be salad + bread. with the same veggies I felt like I was eating grass like a cow. I understand we should have taken more time on the menu but we were both starving. When the server came up to us again, I asked if nothing on the menu contains meat? Sure there were cheese in the salad to make it not vegan. She then argued not everything is vegan on the table. BUT MY QUESTION WAS IS THERE NO MEAT? She then told me we need to wait till 5 pm to order meat without apologizing knowing that two people can’t eat 4 salads. Any rational human won’t just order 4 salads in my opinion. It is her responsibility to at least explain the menu to us. I wasn’t sure what made her think that we wanted 4 salads. We were also ignored since we sat in the patio. No water filled, nobody comes around for anything. The restaurant had nice view and great atmosphere. I would only go there to take some photos. The snack menu was bad. The server was worse.
We came here for the holiday high tea. Beautiful venue and restaurant. The tea was good. Food was ok, enjoyed the scones the best. Service was good but they gave us the bill before we even asked. Paid parking is just across the street. It was confusing finding the restaurant entrance for a first time visit.
I feel like I went back in time! The restaurant is huge. We went here for one of our friend’s party. There is a lot of food. The food here is average. The pasta and the braised beef is good. The sirloin and the lamb was okay. The service is pretty good. The only downside is the lighting and it feels really old. The decoration is very laid back. I feel like I’m in the 90s
Visited the Old Mill restaurant for the a la carte brunch on Saturday after an appointment at the spa. The food was well prepared and reasonably priced considering the beautiful setting.
