Bookstore with character. Atmosphere of a quaint library. Good selection of used books in very good condition. Wonderful place to browse.

This is an amazing book shop. The owner, Michael Loubert, has packed a 600-square-foot space with beautiful pine book cases crammed with 24,000 carefully selected books. It has a strong section on physics and quantum mechanics. Michael worked in the used book trade in this region for years before opening his own place. He learned the business at Second Look Books when it was on Queen Street in downtown Kitchener. After opening Old Goat Books, he spent years putting his inventory online, and Internet sales are one of the reason this place is thriving. A well-read and eccentric bibliophile, Michael is quick to respond to questions via email and Facebook.
