Very fun and tasty authentic German Deli! Many unique items only available in Europe. The Rueben was amazing and the genuine German potato salad was delightful.
Excellent service! Excellent food! Takes you back to Europe! Owners are extremely helpful and kind, go out of their way to make sure you leave happy and satisfied! Everything is smoked and made in house. There is so much to pick from, you can get stuck spending all day in there! Such a cute German gem My weekly stop for candy, German meats, bread and a kind hello If you haven’t stopped by do yourself a favor and pick up lunch, dinner and dessert!
I love that I live in the Treasure Valley, and I can go here to get some of the best German food around. I love their brats, potato salad and sauerkraut, see attached photo. I also love their Rueben sandwich. They are always really great about giving samples of their sausages. I try a new flavor each time I go in. On this trip I also picked up a new stein. I loved this one because I love baseball and the handle of the stein if a bat. So Cool. If you love German food and you're in Nampa. You have GOT to go to Old Country Sausage.
We went to Old Country to get sausage and kraut for Oktoberfest. The selection was fantastic, we got sausage, sauerkraut, Romanian desserts, and mustard. Lidia, the owner, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will be back for sure!
Amazing just can’t get enough! 2 sausages potato salad and sauerkraut. 12$ such great food and fresh baked bread.
Can't say enough good about Old Country Sausage. Their sausages are out of this world especially paired with their homemade sauerkraut. They have really good take away lunches too and a large variety of cookies, crackers, lunch meats etc. Their customer service is top notch.
Local Gem I discovered this fabulous little deli a couple years ago and have been in love ever since. I always try to support local businesses and these guys are on the priority list. The owners are wonderful, kind and generous people, Lidia just has the most fantastic personality and we feel so welcomed here. Just walking into their shop is like stepping into another world. ~the smells~ are so aromatic and pungent, they make your mouth water. They sell so many different kinds of food and drink items such as pickled vegetables, dinner and dessert mixes, condiments, imported goods and sodas, freshly baked breads and desserts such as Rye, German Cheesecake and Peroshkisthe cheese and jam are to die for!. They also do wild game processing so it's a great place for hunters and homesteaders. Their homemade sausages and German potato salad are a must to try! Definitely check this place out of you're in the downtown area!
Great place. Fresh sausages of many types at good prices. Cheeses too. Other items found in a German market. I will definitely go here often. Very friendly owners.
This place is Geil! Yes Geil!!! If you are German you will know! You can find authentic European imports here, as well as authentic handcrafted meats and cheese, krouts and home made breads, she also has a deli with fresh sandwiches! It is on the expensive side but sooooo worth it to support a local lady and to get authentic taste of Bavarian food and goodies! The cheddar sausages are to die for, my dear husband adores the hot Hungarian sausages, but my Norwegian fish loving palate can barely handle a mild chili, so they are spice level too much for me, but probably mildly spicy for most. The homemade bread is made fresh daily and beats anything in town! Wonderful crumb and nice airy but dense loaf. JA!
The sausages are terrific! I haven't had any of the other meats there but I'll get to them. They have a fun selection of German dry goods as well
