They replaced the water pump on 2017 Ram eco diesel. Checked everything while they were at it. Found a cracked thermostat housing. All very reasonably priced. Very polite and professional. If I lived in Vernon they would be my go to mechanic.
Well Frank Dogwin I can almost guarantee you these guys charged you for what was needed, to cover their costs, ie labour and parts. I've known these guys for over 30 years and pretty much same employees, still in business and rest assured this fuel industry is NOT a business that makes you stinking rich, moreover, these guys are in business BECAUSE of how they do business. I hear ya loud and clear, but, I've sent BD a lot of my azz busting money over the years, and they have a franchise for a reason is all I am about to say. So ya, rather than dealing with a small honest reputable shop like OK Diesel next time, go with the franchise folk, be curious how happy you will be after that exchange... ND is definitely reputable, no question about that Mr DogWin....
Took my duramax many places to fix my black smoke exhaust issues and no one could fix it until I came here. They took me in right away and had it all fixed within a few days to get me back on the road. I believe a lot of reviews are lower because people expect to fix a diesel engine for a few hundred which is never the case when it comes to diesels. Thanks Darcy and his team!
I used Okanagan Diesel Injection this past summer to get a set of 8 “used” injectors tested from a 2005 Ford 6.0. I do mobile mechanics and have parted a few trucks out. I pulled these from a good running truck, All 8 were fairly new Ford injectors and stamped remanufactured. My customer wanted them tested beforehand to me installing 4 of them even though I assured him they were good.nn3 weeks later way longer than originally told and I’m told 5/8 of my injectors failed testing and the other 3 were not tested as to “not waste my money”.nnI installed 4 of those “failed” injectors into one truck, 3 in another and the final one in another truck. All 3 trucks ran without issue & it has now been over 6 months.nnAll 8 of those injectors were installed across 3 different vehicles without issue and it has now been 6 months and all 3 trucks are problem free. I can only suppose they wanted me to buy their injectors when I got the news that these failednnBottom line: If all 5 of my “failed” injectors were still in excellent condition then it’s either a scam or they have no idea what they’re doing. Seems I’m not the only one here with similar feelings.
I needed a single seal for an old pump and they had it on the shelf. Incredibly helpful, not diesel snobs at all. I would strongly recommend this business. It's the kind of place you don't hear bad feedback. I've lived here almost 30 years. Never a bad story. Thanks guys!!
