Service is great and fast! Asked for recommendation and I ordered creamy vegan noodles + egg + pork. The egg is amazing, the broth was great too. Pork pieces was average and that’s why the lower rating. Great warm meal for the cold weather outside. Make sure you ask for their spicy shaker.
It was a bit of a cold night for us so we were craving something warm and some soup. I looked up this restaurant prior to going which had reviews that satisfied my boyfriend and I. There is a small Japanese market next door and it also looks like the kitchen is shared with the izakaya but this part of the restaurant mainly focuses on Ramen. My boyfriend ordered the combo with ramen, beer and a side of gyoza whereas I just ordered the ramen. We both got Miso ramen, and it was very good - good ramen noodles and portions are big, and the broth is really good too. I'm not sure if it's because of COVID that they are short staffed but the food takes time to arrive. The atmosphere and architecture of the inside is really nice. The staff doesn't regularly check up on how you are doing with food though and not much of a service since there seems to be only 1 guy making the ramen that was later joined by another staff and two people on the floor. Otherwise, good food and would like to come again when I'm in whistler! There is parking outside and it is within walking distance pretty much like every other place in whistler village.
Friendly and fast service. Enjoy the texture of the ramen noodle. Had the spicy soup, wished it was spicier. Great place to get a hot soup noodle during the winter time. It is attached to a Japanese grocery store with some funky Japanese snacks and also sell cheap bento meal.
I was feeling adventurous tonight and went for the Spicy Ramen, which was right at the edge of acceptable heat for this spice novice The pork was delicious, the broth and noodles were tasty and the side order of soft boiled eggs were amazing. Super creamy and delicious. My wife had the Spicy Tofu Ramen and she also loved it. Not too spicy for her either! We would highly recommend getting the Crispy Brussel Sprouts as they were super crispy, the oil and salt on top was a perfect addition, it just blew us away. We would definitely come back next time we are in Whistler.
Perhaps too accustomed to ramen soup base in Hakuba Nagoya, i think base is above average but not outstanding. Fried chicken was a bit too hard, gyoza is good. Noddle is just right - not too soft nor hard, so adding points to that. Very impressed with the fried brussel sprouts! I cant stop having them
Would not have usually dined here due to the ratings, but was craving ramen. Was took by surprise! Generous portions, good service and tasty food. Noodles were al dente and not over cooked at all like others have mentioned.
A wonderful hot meal in the middle of the cold day, the ramen steeped in a warm, flavorful broth, accompanied by tasty charsiu slices. Loved the decor of the venue to mock up a japanese street, and the friendly staff really rounded off the experience.
This restaurant also connected to another ramen place plus a little Japanese market. I have heard good reviews and here I am : I had their creamy vegan and fried Brussels sprouts. They use kale noodles for this, enough for people with small appetite. It comes with corn, mushroom, spinach and fried onion, also bean sprouts. Overall not bad. Fried Brussels sprouts wasn't expecting it to be sweet > salty, not saying it's horrible but I wouldn't personally recommend it. Price, it's a bit higher but it's Whistler, service is alright, could be better. Mind those who is going in summer, it's very hot inside, so better off sitting outside.
Mediocre ramen, there was barely any toppings and the broth was average. Good for a quick bite and fun atmosphere
Had the Big Mountain ramen shoyu + side and beer combo. The ramen was really good, noodles were great, soup was flavourful, and fefinitely a lot of toppings. Unfortunately the side was not great. I ordered a pork gyoza and whatever was served was not it. If there was meat, it was ground so fine you can't see or taste it...instead the filling was mostly greens and korean glass noodles. A bit on the pricey side but expected for Whistler dining.
