We hired Ohnstad a few years ago to paint the exterior of our house. We'd gotten 3-4 estimates, and Ohnstad's price and availability seemed reasonable. We'd seen one of his crews working on a house in the neighborhood, and it looked nice. Once the project started it went bad. They'd say the wood siding was prepped and ready to paint; I could still reach over and flick paint ships off with my finger! Ended up with the areas I could reach being ready - not so the second story and eaves. We had Benjamin Moore paint peeling off the house within two years. Payment: the contract specified 3 payments. Start, midway, and completion. We paid for the paint directly. Partway through, Ohnstad started calling and demanding $1,000 early here, and another $1,000 early a week later - or he wouldn't send his crew back to finish the job. We should have fired him, but with the house mostly scraped and some primer on, late in the summer, we felt like we were stuck with him.Service: Exterior painting
The easiest person I have worked with in albert lea. He did a great job, on time and on budget. Couldn't ask for anything else. I definitely recommend this company. I will be using him again in future.
