Story

As a recognized Officiant, I write and perform beautiful, meaningful and intimate ceremonies that will surpass your expectations and create lifelong memories.
Ordained as a wedding Minister in 1991, I have over twenty-two years of officiating experience, and am a highly renowned officiant in the Greater Toronto Area. I have had the privilege of being entrusted with performing over 3,000 personalized wedding services.
Throughout my career, I have earned my reputation as an established expert in creating elegant multicultural weddings in the Toronto community.
I offer sensitive counselling for couples and their families regarding their interfaith and/or multicultural marriages. The goal of this counselling is to assist families with becoming more familiar with their future in-laws’ cultural and religious heritages.
I write and perform wedding ceremonies in English and Spanish.

My husband and I were married at Berkeley Church in March 2017. We were so over the moon with our customized service! In our initial meeting Sarah gave us a questionnaire to fill out and asked us many questions about our relationship, family and wedding plans. She was very knowledgeable about the wedding industry and was able to provide us with lots of quality vendor recommendations as well as general support. In our second meeting she ran through her draft of the service, taking into account our details and stories from the questionnaire and our conversations. Every word was “us”! The service was totally customized. Many of our friends and family commented on how unique and personal it was. My husband and I wrote our own vows and kept them a secret until the day. Sarah read them ahead of time and offered guidance, making sure they were similar in length and tone. Everything about the legal parts of the wedding process including our license, marriage certificate etc was well explained. Sarah made sure to have a general understanding of our wedding day dynamics. Getting details about our wedding party and immediate family so she could better navigate the day. A few months later we attended a friend’s wedding that Sarah also officiated because they had been at out wedding and loved her! … It was so nice to hear that their service was totally different from ours!! It made it all the more beautiful to us. We can’t thank Sarah enough for making our special day all the more special!
TRULY CARING OFFICIANT We enjoyed working with Sarah from the moment we met, a year before our wedding. She took the time to get to know us and thus was able to make the wedding ceremony a truly memorable part of our special day. As requested her address incorporated humour and references to God. Many of our guests indicated that this was the best wedding ceremony they had ever attended!
The process leading up to the wedding was very pleasant and Sarah did a great job to help us figure out the ceremony and our vows. She was super friendly and accommodating. It's clear that she is a professional at this. The reason I'm leaving two stars is that on our wedding day she was rude and demanding to our groomsmen and the venue staff because the lighting at the podium was not bright enough for her. She could've simply pulled one of us aside to ask for a bit more light, however she threw a tantrum and made it all about her. We would expect someone with her experience to be able to go with the flow! Further, she brought with her the boiler plate versions of our wedding vows rather than the ones we had edited and customized. We realized this as we were reading them aloud during the ceremony. Not the end of the world, but disappointing nonetheless.
We highly recommend Sarah. It was a joy to work with her. The level of personalization that she offers is incredible. Our ceremony was so personal and authentic to us and our relationship and helped make our wedding day even more memorable and special. We could not be happier with the service that she wrote for us! Thanks Sarah for being a huge part of our wedding day!
Sarah officiated our wedding on September 14th, 2019. We selected Sarah has our wedding officiant after reading many positive reviews on the internet and having our first meeting with Sarah. Although we did not know Sarah personally before we embarked on our wedding planning, Sarah was able to make our wedding ceremony incredibly touching and true to who we are as a couple, which was exactly what we hoped for and wanted in our ceremony. The homework that Sarah provides you to get to know you as a couple is so invaluable to complete and she had the most eloquent way of pulling all of that together to create a beautiful story of our love to share with our guests. Thank you Sarah - we had so many guests sharing with us how much they loved our ceremony and that it felt like 'us'.
Sarah is an amazing officiant! We felt so grateful to have her. We were married on Aug 24th and were so delighted that Sarah was our officiant! Sarah created the most beautiful service for us, our family and guests haven't stopped talking about it to this day. Sarah came recommended to us by the Royal York hotel. We had 2 weeks to book and plan our wedding. She made the process simple, which really reduced the stress for us as we were very short on time. Sarah had us a complete a questionnaire which would assist her in preparing the ceremony that would capture who we are as a couple and the type of ceremony we wanted. What impressed me the most was Sarah’s willingness to help us. She had just 2 short days to prepare the write up before she met us in person to run through the ceremony. Sarah officiated our interfaith ceremony this summer. Our wedding planner suggested her, and let me say we were so happy we found her! From the beginning Sarah was nice and professional, and during our meetings with her we felt comfortable telling her our story. She created a short and sweet ceremony, exactly how we pictured it.
