Overall the experience, presentation and quality of food was good. This was my first experience there. Their menu was the most confusing and wordy food menu I’ve ever seen. A menu should quickly give you the options with brief description of the food to make selection an easy job for the customer. Having too many made-up names like soul in the bowl won’t add any benefit to the customer’s experience, I think. The beef in my bowl were big chunks and didn’t taste well at all. Although I love beef I couldn’t eat them. The deep bowl I got for my food was so deep that it kinda made eating uncomfortable. Staff were really friendly and nice.
My go to place for brunch in Vancouver and soul in the bowl with avo is my favourite all the time! My experience in West Van location was okay. The host and manager was really friendly and nice to us. The food also amazing, but the only problem that bothered us was our server looks like didn’t have energy to serve the customer. He had no smile, spoke with low voice, even forgot to bring us water for awhile, and no follow up. Hopefully this location can keep it up with better service for the customers. I believe they can do better than this . Cheers
I celebrated a milestone birthday here with my family. Parham was the best waiter I could’ve asked for. He really made my day extra special. THANK YOU! I had the lobster scramble poutine, it was heavenly. We started with the lemon curd French toast, I highly recommend it. Also, The morning sun cocktail is delicious and easy to drink. Walk if you can so you can enjoy more ; This place is very popular, so make a reservation. Do not be late.
First time at OEB. Had seen the long lineups, but we went around 2pm and had a short five minute wait. Service was prompt and friendly. The place was busy so was pretty loud. Food was excellent, better than I expected and very happy with it. The potatoes were a pleasant surprise, really crispy. Coffee was good too. Enjoyed the experience and the food and will definitely be back. Parking is hard to find on the street, but there's an underground option I didn't explore.
Nima, our host was great in providing the exceptional customer experience. Th atmosphere was also nice. My experience was on a Sunday morning which happens to be the most crowded time of the week. I tried from their original menu and I should say it was pretty heavy. Happy that had it for brunch .
Our server made our first time at OEB the best experience ever. We went around 10am and it was quite busy but we were seated immediately. We got the croque madame and gold digga and it was so delicious. The rosemary ham is so flavorful and and the hollandaise was so creamy and savory. Definitely coming back to take my family with me.
Great selection of interesting breakfast bowls, sandwiches, french toast, and awesome eggs Benny. The bagel based meals were good but the bagel seemed a bit tough. A nice comfortable place for a good breakfast or lunchFood: 4/5
The most delicious food ever ! Fresh food, great menu selection and pleasant environment. The staff are so welcoming and kind. I always get the big ahi tuna burger which is such a treat. I would recommend OEB to everyone visiting Vancouver !
Service was on it and all the food was more than satisfactory. Lots of attractive options on the menu so will definitely return when in the area.
Ok. So, here's the deal with this place. The location is great. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. Why the 2? Here's why. We ordered 3 Americanos and while two of them were fine the other one was watery and out of balance. This is a breakfast place and the coffee, if not done perfectly, should at least be consistent. We ordered the french toast, butternut squash benny and smoked salmon benny, and the food had started to turn cold and while both the benny dishes were requested to be cooked to medium yolk, they were served soft see pic. The french toast we had to return as the lemon custard was so much that it completely overwhelmed the french toast rendering it soggy. It tasted more like a lemon custard dish with a side of french toast and some berries....honestly see pic. What was really disappointing and quite surprising with this dish was when we told the manager he told us that "this is the way it's supposed to be." No, there is no way this is how you dress a french toast and even if you do, you did it with a request of extra custard, which we did not. Moving on. It was a birthday celebration we were dining and even though we had fun ...the food was slightly disappointing. In a nutshell "it could've been better." Much better.
