Nice place to Kayak. Easy in and out of the water. Plenty of wildlife to see. Nice little campground with an outhouse and picnic tables.
Beautiful setting with river access for fishing. When campground is closed the river is just a short walk from the gate!!!
It is only day use now because people kept dumping cars, travel trailers and garbage everywhere. The is a boat ramp and multiple spots to picnic. There is also a single vault toilet bathroom. Drive in is a little rough so go slow. You can camp before the actual campground as it is National Forest and there are quite a few areas to pull in. Larger rvs would be ok in these areas. You can not have campfires during fire season. Rangers are very nice, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They ride through regularly during fall, spring and summer. 5 stars
Closed in April even though it's a perfect time to camp. I wish the Google maps listing said the open/closed times before I drove here! There seem to be camp spots outside of the actual campground. Mediocre camp spot
Free to camp however there aren’t many sites. The 3 stars doesn’t reflect anything negative it’s just doesn’t deserve the 5 stars people always seem to give for everything. There is a pit toilet and you have access to the water. Most of the sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Not a bad place to stay for the night if you find a site.
Incredible free campground with picnic tables and fire pits. We were heading north to Crater Lake and this was our home for the night. Pretty empty for a Saturday night in august. Just bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are absolutely heinous.
Stayed three nights. Not really for a big rig but we found a spot in our 35 ft RV. Quiet and clean on a river. With fishing. Lots of birds if u like to bird watch.
We just went to walk around and let the dogs be dogs. It was beautiful and well kept even in the off season.
Says no overnight camping. There is trash in one corner of the campground and a large signed saying “condemned”. There also appears to be some questionable long term camping going on on the road to the campsite. Did not feel safe and did not stay. Would not recommend.
Beautiful spot. As a heads up currently gate us open but it says day use only no camping in multiple spots. Not sure why and very disappointed
