Probably one of the nicest parks in and near Fredericton. Odell Park is rather large - there's many main trails some in gravel or mulch, with very nice trees and shrubs. To the western side, there's the Fredericton botanical garden that is very well maintained and worth going through. Depending on the season, this can be a mosquito and fly infestation - so come prepared!
Moved to Fredericton in January this year and just recently found Odell Park. It’s quickly become our favourite place to take a hike. We just love the peaceful and clean trails. Highly recommend this spot for the entire family.
Amazing, lovely little park with a cute fountain! Definitely a lovely sit down and relax park. Great to walk and talk in too and just enjoy the day. Be sure to stop by if you're in the area!
A nice and spatious park in Fredericton, New Brunshwick, Canada. You can find there a good place for recreation and spending leisure time with friends and or family. There is a small but beautifilul valley St John River Valley with its own ecosystem. The park is also equipped with infrastructure to eat and dring as well as use a tent! I recommend this place.
Well maintained, organized park I .middle of the city. Awesome place for family and kids. A must go.
It has 3+km trail. There is a small area for kids to play. It spreads over 300+ acre and gives a feeling of a forest in the middle of the town. It has a small water reservoir with a fountain.
All was fine until my aging parents and I encountered a group of oddly acting individuals tucked away in a section of the park. When we exited a trail into a field with a few large trees dotting the area, I noticed three young people standing next to the trees and simply staring down. I looked to my left and a woman exited the forest, crossed a trail and continued through the woods on the other side; we then noticed an older woman setting up a camp site with a crudely made stick structure propped up against one of the trees. As we exited the area two young people who were staring at a bush turned around and commented on my father's hat - "hello sir, I love your hat" with blank expressions on their faces. All individuals we witnessed had blank expressions and were clearly not walking the trails as most people do when they visit the park. I wanted to go back and ask questions but the vibe I got from every single person in that area of the park was not a good one.
This place is very close to my heart . Every other day I went out for a walk in thus park and I just wanted to say that this place is very clean, natural beauty and well maintained. Enough space for family gathering and outdoor activities. You can park your car just before the entrance. There are many sitting places as well so that you can take rest if needed. Cycling is one of the most popular rides in this park area. I recommend people to visit this beautiful place.
Frederictonians are blessed to have Odell Park within walking distance of the city center. It offers many kilometres of beautiful walking trails, a botanical garden and a lovely area for picnics. It is a great spot for a family outing or meeting up with a friend.
Beautiful park. Groomed trails were very nice. I took a stroller on the groomed trails and it was nice, although there were some steep hills that were challenging. I'm giving it 4 stars because it would be better if the trails were marked and there was signage along the trails. Overall a great park and the fall is a gorgeous time to visit.
