This restaurant serves modified Chinese food. If you are looking for authentic Chinese restaurant, then this is not the right place for you. For example, I ordered Singing chicken pot, if it is authentic, they won’t fry chicken first and the broccoli shouldn’t be part of this dish. But for modified Chinese food, they are doing fine, the taste is okay. I hope they do have an option for authentic Chinese food.
Ordered 2 dishes for take out here. Food was hot and fresh upon pick up. Atmosphere in the dining area feels like a traditional resturant. Will bring my family here and try this place out.
My family has went to Ocean Village for over 20 years and since I was young the owners have always shown us great hospitality and kindness. This has some of the best chowmein I have ever eaten and I'd highly reccomend it. Even tho the building looks a little run down and dated it just shows how long they have been there and you don't last long without great food! This Chinese restaurant is a gem in maple ridge and I urge people to give it a try and experience the friendly owners and establishment with great food for themselves !
I tried the Satay beefCashew chicken, Yeung-chow fried rice tonight. The Yeung-chow fried rice so far so good. But the Satay beef & Cashew chicken were really bad. The taste no good and the portion was small. It was very less chicken in the Cashew chicken.
The food was uncooked and using old vegetables and old seafood. Do not support this reatraunt. Not quality food and they do not refund if you are dissatisfied.
We threw most of our dinner away. Very old recycled food. Very poor quality. The pork was so tuff it was hard to cut with a steak knife. Never going back !
Every time we have ordered it been good. Delivery 45 min and pick up 15.

We enjoy Ocean Village at least one to two times a month. Crispy noodles beef and vegetable with black bean sauce delicious! Vegetable dishes are cooked perfectly not overcooked as we find at other restaurants. We've had honey garlic boneless pork, very good along with their almond chicken .. overall great. I would love to try seafood but other family members don't like it . 4/5*****
Just kind of a meh Chinese place. Kinda what I would expect in Maple Ridge. Nice staff. Prompt service. Good portion size. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but I wouldn't decline eating here either.
