My sisters, brother and I recently held a Memorial Service for our parents at Harbour View. Mum and Dad had requested to be buried there after their deaths, as they had both been so impressed with the venue and the location. It was very reassuring to have Kirsten Rust to help us organise all the arrangements, as none of us had been involved in planning a funeral before. Kirsten was so kind and friendly. The other person who made the service so special was Steve Richards, the Celebrant. Once again, none of us felt confident about leading the service, so Kirsten suggested asking a Celebrant. Steve compiled the wording, based on our 'input' via emails and a zoom meeting and we were very happy with the final result. Everyone who attended the Memorial Service said how much our parents would have approved of the occasion.
Harbour View is set in the most beautiful and stunning setting. The staff are friendly and professional. We were overwhelmed by the gorgeous flowers produced by their on site florist. Highly recommend. Thank you for making a sad time a smooth experience.
It was devastating that my wife Deborah should pass into the hands of Jesus at such an early age. However, Jodie and the rest of the staff at Harbour View were very helpful as we bought the burial plot during Deborah's illness. Nothing was too much trouble for them. On the actual day of the funeral, they together with the funeral directors were kind and considerate. They had informed us beforehand to prebook golf buggies as several of our party have mobility issues. Deborah's body is now resting in peace in what will become, in time, our grave - surrounded by such wonderful natural beauty. She is near to her Dad's interred ashes in a lovely location.
The most beautiful setting for my mums service and cremation. Serene and calming. Everyone commented on what lovely place it was, the staff were courteous, patient and kind. Jo at Tappers was amazing, guiding us through every step. We cannot thank you all enough for how you cared for my mum and for our family throughout the whole experience from collecting her to handing over her ashes.
Absolutely beautiful location for my wonderful Mum’s service and cremation. Anna our Celebrant was amazing and made Mum’s service perfect, and the celebration of her life that Mum wanted.

Today we said our final goodbyes to our son Billy, born sleeping. his funeral was everything we imagined it would be and more, we can not thank kirsten and Steve and everyone at tappers funeral directors and harbour view crematorium enough for their love and respect they have shown us in the very difficult time, their compassion and care to ensure our son had the best was simply remarkable I was able to spend as much time as I wanted with my son and the communication was amazing. They even took hand prints of my son and put them into a beautiful glass bottle it was just heart warming, I'm so happy I chose to have my sons funeral here. The room "the barn" in which my sons service was held was just beautiful! It was the perfect setting. Kirsten and the team made us feel at ease and we're so supportive with everything and so respectful. Thank you all so much. Sleep tight my Beautiful baby Boy
Said our final farewells to my Dad at Harbour View yesterday which is a beautiful peaceful place . staff are so warm and compassionate. Thank you to everyone at Harbour view .
Harbour View is an ideal place for a cremation service. Although we went through Tappers, Poole the helpful advice, the setting of The Barn, the fact that we could have the wake in the same building, worked out very well. The guests were really impressed, the food was very good and the fact that they could have a choice of alcohol, tea, coffee etc made everyone happy. My thanks to John with whose advice we could set the ball rolling.
The Harbour View provide a very comprehensive and pleasant funeral experience and burial site. The ceremony rooms are excellent and the service very well handled. The grounds are well maintained and all events are handled promptly, courteously and efficiently. I have deducted one star because the process could be improved - I had no experience or knowledge of how to deal with funeral arrangements so relied initially on the website and then on questions to contact staff. The information on the site is sketchy and the emphasis seems to be on graphics above content. The pricing of the whole package is fair but somewhat opaque and not really informed by the figures on the website - a price list would have been helpful. Occasionally I had to read and re-read the website to try to understand the process and series of stages to deal with - a simple guide setting out the series of decisions to be taken, principal events and their timing would have been of immense support at a time of great stress and confusion. Overall though I am very pleased with the outcome I have received and will use their services in future.
