Run like crap. Students pay for two courses only given one. Good profs let go for money reasons. Dropped portfolio requirements so it’s a joke.
On our tour of Toronto we were shown the daring futuristic building of the Sharp Centre for Design. It is located 3 blocks to the west of University Ave and easily accessed from the downtown Toronto about 10 minutes' walk from our hotel, Shangri La Toronto.nToday, the building inaugurated in 2004, is a widely recognizable city landmark. The structure resembling an intergalactic spaceship, is a box, notably elevated from the ground and supported by pillars varying in colors and their angles.nThe feat of the modern architectural thought, the Sharp Centre for Design, is the joint work of the famous British architect Will Alsop in partnership with Toronto-based Robbie/Young + Wright Architects. The design received many influential awards and praises of the world architectural and engineering organizations.nLooking to the south, down McCaul St, enjoy the view of the CN Tower.nPlease bear in mind that this amazing building doesn't require a tour, admission, or exploring its interior; it can be simply viewed as a stop of your tour of Toronto.
Beautiful campus, wonderful location and a gorgeous piece of Toronto's downtown core. The campus has a beautiful park that makes you feel you are both within the city and provides an escape at the same time.
As a former student of OCAD, I can quickly say this school sucks. Even after reading every review not to go to this school, my passion for art and conscience told me that I had to experience it for myself.nHowever is planning on going to this school, don't waste your time. There's no dorms, rent and expenses are extremely expensive in Toronto. The art learning is extremely mediocre in the sense that you can learn everything here in a faster pace by teaching and learning yourself at home.nTeachers only goal is to teach woke propaganda which is most contemporary art anyways and if you don't accept their view prepare to lose marks. It feels like nothing from your tuition is given to you no art materials and the atmosphere is extremely depressing.nMost students are introverted and gay emotional and reserved making it extremely hard to make friends. 90% of students are girls so if you are a dude, don't even bother as it will be incredibly biased against you and you will learn to hate your own gender. In the end you will be depressed, broke and tired.
