I love Oberweis ice cream! You can taste the richness and high quality ingredients they use. Their “buy 3, get 1 free” pints deal is dangerously good $6/pint. This time around, I got four pints of my favorite flavors – peanut butter chocolate, cookies & cream, mint chip, and coffee. I was tempted by the sweet lemon blackberry flavor too. This location is efficient, well-maintained, and full of friendly staff who are willing to help. When the flavors I wanted were out of stock, they went into the back to grab fresh pints without being prompted. There is also a convenient drive-through location if needed. I will be back the moment I finish my four pints of ice cream
if you haven't been here you are missing out. between the ice cream and the cooler with raspberry lemonade you will not be disappointed. the whole milk we had to get for my daughter was so good. you could taste the difference and how creamy and silky it is. I wish we had one closer to us. worth every penny!
Good ice cream but service quality can be improved. 1 They forgot one item in the order while keeping the other one melting in the back. After reminding them the missing item, they quickly made the forgotten item but served it with the one melting in the back alongside. Once confronted they re-made the molten item and let us keep the molten one. 2 They serve in glass or plastic according to how they feel like it. Our friends got served in glass while we were served in plastic. Consistency would have been nice.
Only the drive thru is open due to lack of skilled staff. Apparently Andy's Ice cream has hired the all the good employees.
The order was mixed up, and the ice cream is… quite overpriced. Creamy and yummy! But also a bit stiff and definitely not a lot of ice cream in general. We wanted to pop by because Oberweis stretches generations in our group, but it wasn’t as good as a Portillos Strawberry Shortcake I assume or a Cookout shake of basically any reality. Wouldn’t go again. But thanks for the experience.
Empty glasses because the Dessert was so Great. My girlfriend and i recently visited here she ordered a lava cake and unfortunately didn't like the taste was so Heavy and with the her being pregnant asked for a switch to a regular chocolate sunday. Was Extremely busy tonight yet Kristen Manager Burger Side? was Fantastic within a couple minutes she exchanged it quick and Provided a Refund being an avid customer was a great feeling . Highly Recommend! Thank you once again for another Delicious Desert!
Amazing Ice Cream experience last night! I came with my whole family in tow, in particular my five year old son very much enjoyed his peanut butter waffle bowl sundae. The nice young lady who took our order, “Elsa” on her name tag, gave a cheerful smile and greeting when we ordered our food. When my sundae accidentally had pecans on it another kind fellow, “AJ” on his name tag, happily took back the sundae and made a new one as originally requested! Great place! Great people!
Ice cream is delicious, nice and creamy. I had the chocolate and marshmallow. Rest of the family loved theirs as well. The bowls for the single scoop though are tiny, every time you dip the spoon for a bite, the melted ice cream overflows on the side. But hey, the answer is not to give less ice cream.
I went out with my husband for an ice cream afternoon 6:20pm at Glen Ellyn Oberweis drivethru and ended up receiving the worse treatment possible. A moody employee was annoyed by having more than one customer ordering in through the window and rushed us to make a decision. My husband ordered his choice of ice cream and when I was about to make mine this very rude Oberweis female employee told us “to have only one person talking to make her life a lot more easy”! I felt insulted and although I paid for our order I completely lost my desire for ice cream. I couldn’t believe what just happened! I threw the ice cream away! I could not trust it was clean to eat. Unsatisfied people should not be allowed to handle food and serve people. Glen Ellyn’ Oberweis deserves a better customer services. People must be aware of mistreatment and avoid being deliberately insulted. Let me make her life easier not stopping by that store ever again and make sure my friends will do the same!!
We were just stuck in the drive thru for 50 minutes and couldn't get out of line... I wouldn't come here if you have anywhere to be afterward. Unfortunately this isn't the first issue we have had here. I ordered a pineapple shake once and was given a strawberry shake it was visibly a pink shake when I kindly told the employee that it was wrong she gave me nothing but attitude and insisted that it was pineapple without even looking at it. On another occasion I ordered ice cream in a waffle bowl and was told they were out... there were waffles bowls sitting right behind the counter. Numerous other times we came to get ice cream and the drive thru was closed long before the closing time. Unfortunately we won't be back again, which is a bummer because we love Oberweis ice cream!
