We have been participating in OHA programs for our boys for probably 5 years now. They have done learn to skate, power skating, house league spring teams, rep spring teams, defensive clinics. Even I participated in an adult skills development program. Everything has always been excellent and we recommend OHA to many families that have shared the same positive experience. We have been watching the transformation with Reno's and upgrades around the building. We will continue to participate in programming as long as our kids continue to love the sport!
I have been brining my kids here for over 2 years in various programs including the rising stars league, evening skills sessions and private training. The trainers we have worked with do this a full time job and very experienced in coaching/training for youth hockey. I have also been on the ice myself several times.nMy experience has always been good, the rising stars league was organized and always ran smoothly.nThe owner Jake is very nice, responsive and genuinely cares about his programs. He also runs some programs himself which are great as well.nThe facility is clean, the ice is kept well and there is a nice warm viewing area of both ice pads on the second floor.
Great facility and coaches! My kids had coach Isabel for the Learn to Skate program last term and she was absolutely perfect with them. She made it fun, was patient with them, knew what they needed to focus on individually, and really helped them become comfortable on the ice quickly as brand new skaters. They always talk about how much fun they have with coach Isabel after each lesson. Thank you again!
Booked a private 1 hour body contact clinic for a half dozen upcoming U14 players. Jake owner took the time to explain OHA's approach, and also squeeze us in on big ice during a busy time. Instructor Tyler ran the clinic. The boys said they had fun bruised arms and all!, are much more confident and want to book another session. Big thanks to Jake and Tyler for helping us all during this scary transition.
We chose Oakville hockey academy 2 years ago to teach our son how to skate and play hockey. After several programs he has excelled due in large part to the quality of programs and coaching that he has received while at the academy. Coach Pat, Adrian and Tyler have done remarkable things for our son, developing him as a player and teaching him skills that he uses on and off the ice. Thank you OHA!!
