Well it is the most livable town in Canada : Update Summer 2022: Umm, not so sure of that anymore, I don't shop here, and I don't eat here anymore, we go to Burlington 90% of time which is way friendlier, cleaner, well organized, very well managed public areas and best of all more welcoming compared to the No-Fun Town of Oakville! I'm sorry but it is true.
To start a new business in Oakville, we applied for a building permit. Things went wrong with the agent handling our application. Not only was our application excessively delayed but also, we lost communication with the town of Oakville and knew nothing about the progress of our application. We were under extreme stress with pressure from the arrangements for renovation and rent payment. Luckily, we met Suzanne Holder, she showed great concern for our difficult situation and spent a lot of time to keep us informed of the status of our application, so that we could quickly take action to satisfy the requirements of the application. Suzanne rescued us from further delay and bigger financial loss. Thank you, Suzanne, for your five-star service! Thank you, Town of Oakville, for selecting and developing such highly qualified employees. Also many thanks to Jen Maveal. She is very helpful with quick responses and clear explanations of zoning policies.
Got our marriage license and did our civil ceremony here. Service was responsive and efficient, but more importantly, so human and kind : Natasha and Laura are great at their jobs and made the whole process a breeze!
Shame on town of Oakville charging $25.00 for an email to be sent for property tax statement. This is how the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Town hall is a great place to vote, quite efficient. I heard they have a samurai sword in one of the rooms from one of their sister cities Nayagawa I think Oakville should allow cannabis shops to open. And should install workout parks ‍
People that work here lie and don't do the job they are supposed to do. Selena Campbell/Liz is out to lunch and confused about everything.
I moved to oakville on December 1, 2017. Ever since I have been in this town , I have felt respected and loved by people around me . The Tim Hortons staff , Oakville town hall staff , Canadian blood services camp, the td bank and McDonald’s at iruquois shore and all are part of my life . Love Oakville and it’s people .
My review is specifically for the clerks office. They did an amazing job for our wedding ceremony! From the beginning, Laura and Brigit took our questions with care, and showed their passion and professionalism through every step of the way. Especially during COVID, we felt that our needs were addressed, with caution and care taken to ensure we had a wonderful time celebrating our big day with our loved ones. If you ever need assistance from the Town of Oakville clerk department, or plan to get married as well, we recommend this team with 10 thumbs up!

We have had really bad gypsy moth issues near our property and the city has been fantastic, helpful and so responsive with taking preventative measures to protect city trees. They are a pleasure to deal with and speak to.
