We visited the Oakroom Grill this evening & had the best experience. Great atmosphere, very welcoming. Amazing menu and amazing service from Don : not too expensive. We ordered an Appy, burgers, fish & chips & even stayed for dessert which is rare for us. When you're in PG don't forget this place!
We had a fantastic experience at the Oakroom Grill. The atmosphere was pleasant, they had live music, and the food was spot on. Everything was prepared exceptionally well. I will be going back and highly recommend. Also, just my opinion, but best burger I've maybe ever had.
I always enjoy the Oakroom Grill, as long as there's no live music due to sensory issues. They are a step between a casual restaurant and fine dining. They have a nice selection of steak, burgers, seafood and salads, among other things. The food always tastes good. I appreciate the good service and nice selection of mocktails, although their virgin mojitos could be sweeter. Overall, a good restaurant to visit for a nice treat or a night out. Parking: There is plenty of free parking available, including disabled parking Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible washroom.
I love this place! Was a great meal with top quality ingredients. Also absolutely great value for your money. We enjoyed our brunch with special coffees and we only spent about $30 per person. After painfully slow service the first two times we ate here, my wife and I gave it a third try last night. The beer was cold, her wine was good and the appy was decent but not outstanding. That’s as good as it gets. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and it was so bad that after a couple of bites I threw my napkin over the bowl and pushed it aside. Spaghetti was dry, dry like it had been under a heat lamp dehydrating, the tasteless meatballs were some sort of mystery mush that had all the appeal of wallpaper paste. My wife had a pasta dish with a chicken breast that her knife could barely cut through. Clearly had been microwaved to thaw it out. She couldn’t eat hers either. No I didn’t complain to the waitress as she’s not the chef. On Saturday night at 6 pm if your restaurant is 1/2 full, take that as a hint. 3rd strike and $120 bucks 25 for spaghetti and 23 for my wife’s pasta down the drain. Note to the owners, read your menu description of these 2 dishes then give them a try.
Truly disappointing experience at the Oakroom Grill last night. I ordered the fish and chips and my partner ordered the three piggies burger, along with a side of gravy for the table. The fish arrived incredibly overcooked, the burger arrived overcooked yet somehow cold at the same time, and the fries on both plates looked and tasted like the oil in the fryer was going bad. They tasted awful and had a strange colour. The gravy could have come from a grocery store package. Our waitress didn't return until the end of the 'meal', at which point we told her what was wrong. She sent over the manager, who said 'oh, I've never seen them over cook fish'. At no point did anyone take our plates away, so we got to keep looking at the food the whole time. When the bill came the waitress said the manager gave us a "small discount, as the food was not to your liking". $5.50, off a $50 bill. Well Oakroom Grill, if you wanted to make sure we never come back and never recommend you to anyone, based on your food and your service, you have succeeded admirably.

Food was good, great flavours, service was good. Didn't like to see more than a dozen dirty glasses sitting on the bar even though they weren't busy. On a side note, they would have benefitted from having someone proofread their lunch menu before it went to the printers. Image is everything, especially these days.
Loved this place. It was super busy when we showed but Don the waiter did everything he could to make us feel welcome. We came to oakroom for our anniversary. I do alot of social media promoting from California and I have read about Don so wanted to meet him. He blew me away and my hubby and I truly appreciate everything Don is truly a gem and a huge asset to their company. I have never ever out of all my years seen so many positive reviews and comments about 1 waiter and feel he deserves recognition! He is not just a waiter he is front line of the company... thank you so much for everything Don! You deserve to be noticed for the amazing heart you have! Thank you for making our day special !
Our server I think his name was doug? Older gentlemen...so nice.probably one of the most authentic waiters.checked on us .filled our water .served our food great. We had 6 at our table 6 seperate Bill's he never messed up once. I had beef dip.meat was tough.not much brie cheese n baguette wasnt toasted. The salad was great.the fries very good. It was my friends 54th bday. Her meal was great. The prices on web n on the menus were totally dif in selections and prices. Over all great night. But honestly who can afford 10.49 to 13 dollar drinks?.
