The area is without power however this establishment was open. Service was prompt and friendly and food was very good. We were in for their brunch menu which I had the standard breakfast and my wife tried the breakfast poutine. Both were delicious.
Myself and 5 of my friends were served here tonight by Josee. First of all, I've only ever been to Greenwood once before, we stopped somewhere then too and so my expectations weren't high whatsoever. The service Josee gave us tonight reminded me of high class professional work I used to see in some of the best places in Toronto, from being attentive when drinks were low, extremely positive and friendly, and even knowing cocktail ingredients off the top of her head at the table - they had two massive tables just sit down right before we got there too. She let us know when food was being plated, and I personally felt like she was on point the entire night. Phenomenal service. I got the fish tacos and the chickpea wrap for later. The wrap looks delicious, the fish tacos were surprisingly delicious since I've never seen one not done with fish that isn't deep fried, but there was so much flavour and everything was cooked excellently, I would definitely order it again! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a smaller menu with lots of different options for both vegans and meat eaters, to children. Fantastic spot.
Well that was a good time! Met some friends for lunch around 1pm on a Saturday. We were greeted immediately by the friendliest little thing! Sorry I didn't catch her name, but she was great! Attentive, friendly, adorable, quick! Had a couple Caesars...perfect. Had the Whiskey Burger...deeeee-licious. With fries...super crispy. Highly recommend , don't understand why the place wasn't packed. Everyone should just get there! Mean it!
Great food and amazing service! Great vegan and vegetarian options lots of gluten free options too!! we came as a party of 15 and was seated right away. Server was fast, professional and great with the kids! Everyone enjoyed their meal, large portion sizes and everything came out perfectly!! Very happy customer and will be coming back for sure!!
My wife, son and I dropped by the Oaken Barrel Pub for lunch on a Tuesday and were met with a smiling and helpful Kaylee who was excited to suggest some of the spectacular items after hearing we were traveling and hadn't visited the restaurant before. A procurement of a highchair later and some discussion on what might be the best to order and we were on our way with lunch. The food itself was fresh and hot, delicious and prompt. All staff we interacted with were beyond pleasant and made us feel welcome! In closing, the place is a lovely little spot for a bite to eat and I'd gladly drop by again if in the area.
Service was great. Apps came quickly. Food was delicious. I ordered the Oaken club which was fantastic. My son had the lasagna which he really enjoyed. Server recommended bar beverages were perfect. Greatly enjoyed everything and come again.
no atmosphere. very cold in the resraurant. waited over an hour for our food, and it was not the best. soup of the day was not even hot and tasted bad.
We always enjoy our meal here. They have something on the menu to suit everyone's taste buds. We eat here regularly and have also come in large groups that they can accommodate everyone with ease. Portions are good sized and reasonably priced.
The absolute best mixed drinks there are. In love. Better mixed drinks than high end restaurants in Halifax. Their ruby sour is delicious . Food is mediocre.
Always delicious every time we go! My favorite so far is the pulled pork poutine, the barbecue sauce was perfect.
