My wife and I are always looking for a new place to try delicious food. I drove by this establishment a few times and thought today I would give it a try. There is plenty of parking in the front and back of the building. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with lovely Irish music playing in the background while I was there. They have a large selection of draft beer, And the seating areas felt a bit small. The waitress was very nice and sat us next to a window and handed us menu's. First thing I noticed was that everything on the menu was pricey so I hoped the food would be delicious. I got the traditional Irish onion soup and my lady got the Irish calamari for appetizers. And we both got the irishman 8oz steak burger for the main course. The calamari was pretty good and the marinara sauce was hearty and surprisingly tasty I thought the calamari had a bit of a pork rind taste to them but besides that it was very good. The onion soup however was horrible and tasted like plain boiled water and lots of herbs I was surprised when I scooped up a big spoon full of herbs while taking a sip and that was it for me. I sent it back and the waitress took it off the bill. Then the burgers came and I was surprised about how thick they were. It was a square shaped patty that looked a little over a 1/4 inch thick. I got mine medium well and after taking a bite I noticed it was a bit undercooked and warm not hot at all. The bottom bun was freezing cold when touched and the burger was a bit bland. Disappointing for a $15 burger before tax. The fries tasted better then the burger. My wife said her burger was OK nothing special. overall if your sitting at the bar and getting some appetizers it's not a bad place to stop at. But besides that it was nothing special and it wasn't terrible just average. But for the prices they charge for the quality of food I experienced brings it to below average for me
We had been looking for something different and found O'Slattery's. The food was superb. Our sons had the Fish & Chips. My husband had the Guinness Stew and I had the Reuben. Very large partions. The reuben was tender with very little fat. Also, it was a treat for my husband to have a Guinness on tap. Definitely will be back.
One of the best fish and chips we've had since we were in Cape Hatteras! And Bridget's Red Ale was very good. The place got really busy but our waitress, Lilly, never forgot us! She was very good!
Very nice place to grab a meal and a beer. The wait staff were very polite. The service was very good. The restaurant was very clean as well. Had my meal outside to enjoy the nice weather. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. The waitress kept checking back with us to make sure we did not need anything. Which is very nice because some places lately do not do this. The food order came out fast and just the way you ordered it. I had the kilkenny bookmaker which was really good. My girlfriend she had O'Slattery's Ruben which she told me was really good as well. For appetizer we ordered Irish nachos these were very good as well. This place had some many different items to choose from on the menu that all sounded very good. Will have to go back again to try something else for sure.
So glad I found a place close to Albany Med.... that is great!! 1. I can order a true Guinness and Harp 2. Rueben is amazing, not sliced Corn Beef. It is real fall apart goodness. 3. Close to Albany Med to get a break from the stress. 4. Great friendly staff.
All of the meals shown were fantastic. We all really enjoyed them and the 4 of us opted to bring back to the hotel what we could not finish. One meal not shown was an order of wings that my mother thought was great. If you like a smooth beer the one shown is super smooth.
The fried pickles were outstanding. Other than that, my medium rare burger was more like medium well, my wife's medium steak was well done, and the Irish Coconut Curry was overwhelmingly flavored with cilantro but little else. The food wasn't exactly hot, and service was less than attentive with few other tables occupied. Overall, very disappointing.
First time here, our sisters 60th surprise birthday party... What an AMAZING place, SUPER SWEET staff... Kelly is my love... Thank you for a great time Food: 5/5
Found this place totally by chance. Was looking for lunch after picking up something from nearby lumber yard. Three words, seven dollar beers! Order the pretzels. I highly recommend it. The place is family friendly, laid-back, and has a good selection of Irish food menu.
It's fine if you love Irish fare But I don't come to find out. They should have more American options for those of us that tag along . I got a burger with Irish bacon the last time. I found it to have an unpleasant taste. So this time I ordered sans the bacon. Service was impeccable.Food: 4/5
