This restaurant was perfect for our military graduation dinner 2 weeks ago. The service was amazing. We had an awsome waitress that helped us out with the translation and made sure our order was perfect. The ribs were fall of the bone delicious and they come with a nice coleslaw and yummy fries. The owner came out to greet us at our table. What great service!
My significant other is at the military base, and came to this restaurant with her family. She brought me here one day and the food, service, and prices, are great. When we came here, there was 3 people working bar tender/waiter, chef, owner/manager, and the place was half full. The food still came out timely, even with the short staff, and the drinks were right on time as well. I will definitely be coming back here. I spoke with the chef and he said he has been doing this for 32 years, and his food speaks volumes. When I come by again I will update with pictures of the great food. We had an $80 tab. Of that we had; 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 mains, and 2 desserts. Without the drinks, we would have had a $68 bill. Definitely worth it. My only complaint is that the restaurant is cramped. But that is me nit picking.
The service was absolutely horrendous, the person at the bar kept coughing into his hands, picking his nose, and rubbing his face and did not wash his hands a single time that I was there. The food quality was terrible, frozen burgers and wings. The table that we were at had not been washed in what looks like weeks. The deepfryer was filthy and caused the fries to turn mostly black all over. All in all I had one of the worst restaurant experiences here that I have ever had. As I was writing this the server went out for a cigarette and returned without washing his hands yet again. Completely disgusting standards within this establishment. I wish zero stars was an option.
This is the first review I've ever written because this bar-restaurant definitely deserves it. I had the ribs and it was one of the best plates I've had in years. Everything was beyond expectations including the coleslaw. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent. Was so glad to have randomly stumbled upon this place.
I have to travel to St Jean sur Richelieu about once per month for business. On my last trip, I discovered the Resto Bar O'Ribs. Excellent ribs, maybe the best I've ever had. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. I am heading back to town tomorrow and tomorrow night I'll be enjoying those ribs. My mouth is already watering!
Very good ribs and service. I got the full rack of ribs, which came with fries and cole slaw, and a beer on tap. Ribs were very good, portion size was generous, slaw a little sweet for my taste. The bar was full so I took a table attached to the bar. The bartender was my server; he was personable and did his best to accommodate my lack of French speaking skills. I got the creme brule, which he crisped with a torch at my table; a nice touch.
Good plate of ribs for a low price. Plenty of fries and a small home made coleslaw. Only thing weird was the feeling of not belonging there because you're not a regular.
Nice cozy place, friendly owners and the food is Awesome!! We enjoy our time everytime we come here, our favorite place in St-jean so far!
It was a really nice place although if you're not a regular the staff definitely Treat you Like a Stranger
Good food, friendly service. Visiting with our child from the military base, we will be back for sure.
