Nuvo Nails

I've gone to this location a couple of times and my nails are always on point! The nail technicians are friendly and very talented, so I really like going to this location.

My experience here was horrible. I got my eyebrows waxed here a few days ago. During service, the lady was on the phone the whole time. She had one hand holding her phone and another waxing my brows. I have never experienced that in my life. Completely unprofessional. You shouldn’t be on your phone while performing a service on someone. When she finished, half my eyebrow was gone. I asked her to just do the extra hairs around my brows, not to shape them. But she went ahead and shaped them. I have been getting my brows done for years now, and have never had someone wax off half my brow like that. Service was horrible, would not recommend anyone going here.

Place looked clean and sanitary, however when I walked in i was immediately told to wash my hands, no problem. As I went to the waxing room, I noticed the lady was texting on her phone and then did not sanitize or wash her hands thereafter. I also let her know I was wearing makeup and she dismissed my comment and proceeded to wax my eyebrows anyway with her dirty hands and lack of care with my probably dirty pores. Waxing job was done well, however I think the staff could be a bit more aware when it comes them washing their hands / touching people's faces / also wiping the area before waxing it. Also waxing of eyebrows / lip came to $18 which is the most money I've spent on that... Not worth it, there are plenty of other cheap places!Service: Waxing

Worst experience today. I live upstairs and have been coming here over many years. I called ahead and made an appointment. No one addressed me even though the salon had very few customers inside. Nail tech rushed in and asked me what I wanted done. I told her, to take very little off the length and keep the almond shape. Tech rushed in and cut my long nails off and unevenly! I have a wedding to go to today and had grown my nails! Tech made excuses and only apologised after she was looking at the results of her work. Mumbled apologies and I had to walk out without finishing the manicure. Will not return. Worst experience.Services: Manicure

I have been to Nuvo Nails many times for manicures and padicures. Their cleanilness is minimal, they resuse disposable nail filers and the salon is not well kept. Shellac will start chipping in less than a week because their work is rushedServices: Manicure

Yikes! Paid $40 for just a pedi no polish and they didnt even paint colour on my toes. Not impressed and they didnt tell me it was the same price. I wont go back - my first visit and I live across the street :Service: Pedicure

It was a great experience getting my gel nails done at Nuvo. The staff was friendly and was very accommodating when I needed to have my appointment early. They have a great selection of colours and the skills was on point no painting over the cuticles. This will be my default nail place going forward.

I’ve been coming to Nuvo Nails for over a year and book appointments every 3-4 weeks. I travel all the way from Yonge and Eg to this salon specifically for their dip powder nails. All of their girls are great at what they do, but my girl is Jessica. My nails look great for at least 3 weeks, the shape is awesome and I’m always treated really nicely. Some of the other reviews are shocking. I often see people walk in and expect these girls to available for walk ins... but they are busy for a reason. They are good at why they do... so book your appointment in advance and give them enough time to do your nails right. I’ve also had pedicures with great massages. This is my go to place! See you all in 3 weeks!!!

I would absolutely not recommend this place. First of all, their prices are not competitive compared to other nail salons in the area. Secondly, they do a very rushed job. The girl who did my pedicure didn’t even include lotion with a foot massage which is standard for any pedicure. When I asked for it, she walked over while texting in one hand and poured oil on my feet and walked away. Finally, the girl doing my hand cut my skin while trimming my cuticles and left the dried blood there even though I asked numerous times for her to wipe it off. I highly highly recommend you avoid this salon. I absolutely will not be going back.Services: Manicure
