Food was great. Service was horrible. The fried buns with condensed milk were killer! My husband got the mega hot pot and he loved it. The eel rice bowl had a hefty portion but at the price point of almost $20 I would expect so. The only reason it’s 4/5 stars is because the waitress/cashier lady was so rude and standoffish. She was on her phone when we walked in, didn’t bother looking up. I eventually walked over and tried placing a take out order. She had an accent which is totally fine my entire family does too but I had to ask her to repeat some words again because I didn’t catch it. She ended up sighing and yelling at me because I asked her to repeat her words. I felt like such an inconvenience to her even though I was a customer. The food is good but nothing special enough to come back and deal with that lady.
Udon noodles: the veggies and broth was flavorful and the noodles had a great texture: black sesame sticky rice ball: these were a perfect melt in your mouth, lovely dessert. I would definitely get that again. This is a small business but could tell the staff knows everyone pretty well. I would go back for those nooodz cravings.
The soup, buns and dumplings are really good here. My friend did not enjoy her Udon noodle dish but maybe it was just a miss that day. Place was clean and owner was friendly. It's not the best I've had of restraunts similar to Nummy but def great for the area it's in! Usually you have to travel closer to cities like NY or Boston Stick with low spice if your not used to it but if you like a beating they got the option!
That have pretty good food. The Nummy Noodles and soup dumplings were pretty tasty. I gotta say the service was alarmingly bad. I got the wrong order, and they only came by once to refill drinks at the end despite being the only person there. West Hartford has a lot of stuck up people so it might be a good idea to work on that so as not to drive away potential customers.
I love Nummy! I love the fusion of Taiwanese and Sichuan flavors. They really nailed creative and delicious. I waited until I had good pics to write this review so I could do them justice. If you're looking for real, genuine eastern Asian food. This is the place to go!!!! :
Very Nummy! Everything was delicious and the Bam Bam noodles were perfectly sauced! The right amount of flavor for each component! Cloudy Melon was interesting but very delicious. I can relate that flavor to something else I had before, yet I could not tell you what it is probably like those dessert glutinous rice balls but without the filling. Everything came out at the perfect timing. Thanks again!
Our first time here and we were so impressed! Very delicious and filling. Mr. Peanut and Nummy bowl I think? With shrimp.
Amazing food here!!! Only authentic Asian food in CT that I’ve been to so far. Would eat here everyday if I could. Awesome portions, fills you up well. Ambiance is immaculate as well!!
My food was a joke. My $8.00 buns were raggedy and empty , with only a touch of filling in them, it was literally mountains of dumpling and no filling at all, barely a smidge! Not to mention they were cold, they must have given me something sitting out. Wow I know times are tough, but this is wrong. The other photos people have posted looked way more filling! Sad I spent money on this … would’ve been better getting trader joe buns
Both their noodles and soup dumplings are delicious. This place is not extremely big and oftentimes there may be gaps in service due to understaffing.
