Some items are rare finds in the NWT, making it a treasure trove for visitors and locals alike.nnWhether you’re craving a delicious coffee or searching for unique items, this spot is a must-visit in Fort Smith. Plus, it’s conveniently located right across from the museum, making it an easy stop during your trip.
Javapunks has great coffee and the owner? was really nice. They also have delicious donuts, cheesecake and danishes!
Amazing coffee, food definitely get the chicken sandwich, a wide variety of great products ranging from coffee/tea supplies to unique gifts to electronics to office supplies, and most importantly an awesome and extremely friendly/helpful staff. Highly recommend, if you find yourself in Smith, a trip to NSIXTY is a must.
FOR JAVAPUNKS. They have good items. Although the service is questionable. The staff always seemed confused about their items, and are almost always unsure about what they serve. On top of that, hygiene is not great. I ordered an ice cream cone, and the cashier then handled my transaction and then touched my icecream cone with her bare hands without washing or using a napkin. I paid extra for a waffle cone and ended up throwing it out because I didn’t want to eat it after she didn’t wash her hands or take any hygienic precautions. I went back today to get a bagel, and after throwing my bagel in the toaster, the lady washed tables around the cafe, and then immediately went back to my bagel, put the dirty cloth down and removed and prepared my bagel with her bare hands without washing them first… it is kind of disgusting and definitely ruined my appetite. Over all, they serve good food and have a good selection, but more hygienic and safety procedures need to be implemented.
The drinks are amazing at Javapunks and I can’t wait for them to have food too! Great selection of items for coffee snobs like me. The only thing I wished they had was Indigenous coffee suppliers available. There’s so many Canadian Indigenous owned coffees out there and a northern shop should be selling them ie. Kaapittiaq from Cambridge Bay, Birch Bark Coffee for clean drinking water in Ontario, Spirit Bear from BC, and others.nTheir office supply side is also well stocked and I was impressed. My friend even went a bought a switch there! Pretty snazzy.
