I definitely enjoy going here. My math teacher here is awesome, he's the best math teacher I've ever had. However I don't know if I'm actually in his class or not in January. I wanna check if I got in, I'm super worried about, I just want to know what the status of my application is. Google says the school is open even though it's Saturday and I thought it wouldn't be open. Called and got no answer. I checked the website too and it says open. I know why they'd have it say open if they're not.
Great school, great people, security sucks... the school is supposed to be open everyday and the security won't even let you improve your knowledge on weekends. Very infuriating when all you want to do is get forgotten books or notes from your locker or use the library computers for those who don't have a computer and are forced to potentially fail projects because security won't allow you to get your work done
I did my first year ECE . Wonderful place, wonderful teachers. I love this campus with many facilities.
I work full time and wanted to do a continued education in welding. I work in the field and am familiar with lots of the trade. I contacted NSCC trying to just take some hands on welding tech classes. They only offer you to become a full time student, which involves lots of thoery time in the classroom, which I don't have the time to do and don't want to pay for.nnIt would be nice to be able to choose which classes you would like to take individually so other adults with jobs like myself could still further themselves in an academic environment. But everyone does like cash, so I get it.
Took my 2 year Power Engineering Technology course here. Staff are super friendly, instructors are very well experienced and helpful, and the school itself is clean, modern and easily laid out. Their response to COVID left a lot to be desired, however. They were very supportive of students, especially in the power engineering program, but covid related rules sometimes seemed arbitrary, and even ridiculous at times. This could be considered a positive to some, though.
