Special shout out to the IT Tech who's name is Parch! He was awesome. Super friendly and efficient. He fixed the small challenge with my modem and placed a bracket so it does not happen again. The Call Centre agent was awesome as well, very friendly and personable. This is why I am with Novus, they are a truly local company compared to the big names such as Telus etc.
Ever since subscribing to Novus, I've been very satisfied with their service. While it's not the best internet speeds, it's more than enough for my daily needs work, games, video streaming. I would have given them 4*, but their customer service places them at a full 5*. Super responsive and friendly call centre agents. Our modem broke down last night the technician came and replaced it the very next day. 100% would recommend if Novus is available to you!
Have been with Novus for years: easy to deal with, internet is fast, rarely have outages, etc. Recently, Novus messaged me asking if they could come install fibre optics and that they'd give me a free month of service for the inconvenience. It took about 10 minutes and the team was extremely friendly. Further, I get an email from their support rep telling me I'm paying $55/month for internet 35, and that they can upgrade me to internet 45 faster at $45/month and that this promo is not under contract so I can cancel anytime. Another note: They showed up on time for our appointment rather than 3 hours late or 1 day late like Telus used to. They also called in advance to make sure it was still okay to drop by at that time. Thanks for the good service and hard work.
Wow, I have read all the negative reviews about Novus and cannot agree with it. Based on my experience Novus over played Shaw I was with them for 6 years and Telus their customer for around 2 years. Recently dealt with Novus and their customer service amazed me. Everything from connection the cancellation of the service was on the top level. The tech came in after 2 hours of my request to connect their services. And cancelation was so easy, just a matter of 2 minutes call. Overall they are so customer oriented and efficient with it. The internet itself is great, fast speed even over my plan 500mbps, no interruptions. They definitely got a new customer, after my Telus plan ended I will connect to Novus. Hope, to be helpful for other current and potential customers.
We signed up for Novus a little over a month ago to give it a try. We don't have fiber optic in our building yet, so our Telus speed was low 75Mbps. Our measured performance was closer to 30Mbps for download and 20Mbps for upload. Installation was fast, simple and the Novus modem/router takes up less space. Performance has ranged from 60Mbps up AND down to 95Mbps up/down on the 100Mbps plan, usually closer to the upside. Our cost has dropped by ~60%. Zero outages so far. Before purchasing we had read many reviews, as my partner and I both work online and our Internet is critical. Still early, but so far we are VERY pleased with Novus.
I've been with Novus for 2 years now and don't have one complaint. They're always easy to reach, and I love how they don't try and upsell you. I will continue to recommend their services!
Internet cuts off frequently to the point Zoom meetings cannot be held. Called support on this issue and was told a technician will come by to take a look. The call was on Saturday and was told to expect a call on Monday. It is Wednesday and still no follow up. The sole reason we pay monthly to this company is for internet to operate, but if this does not function, what is the point? Needless to say, we are switching providers.
Novus has been one of the best discoveries after moving to Vancouver, 4 years ago. I was paying way more for Shaw, with asymmetrical and laughable bandwidth. I'm very grateful for your service!
Their customer/technical support is EXCELLENT....someone there called Tess was really helpful and patient. She spent time and explained in "plain" language while going thru troubleshooting for me.
Novus has been great over the past 1.5 years for me. There were a few moments where the wifi dropped for a few minutes but that only happened about 4 times in the 1.5 years. I just renewed my plan for 3 more years contract free and they gave me a faster plan for less than what I was paying before. I'm paying less than 50% compared to similar plans from Shaw and Telus. Not to mention the superb customer service.
