Absolutely disgusted with the way DNR handled the case of the two deer trapped in the fenced area of Victoria Park in Sydney!! Why you chose to help them escape through the front gate and not tranquilize them and relocate.....baffles me!! You basically sentenced those deer to death.....which immediately happened to one, and most likely the other one too!! Take examples from other provinces, like the case of the moose in a NB park, and how they tranquilized and safely removed him, and was successful in relocating him.....all while folks were out enjoying the park but giving DNR the space they needed to do things the RIGHT way!! I needed DNR's help a few yrs ago about and endangered Brown Bat....that I found still alive in my pool!! The agent on the phone told me basically to not touch him and let nature take its course!! I called ACCAP and they came and got him, when I called them, but a day had already passed and he was too weak to survive. He spent his last night under my deck with me feeling helpless, unable help him!! The outcome may have been different had you come the day I called....since it was an endangered species!! The effort should have been made to preserve his life!! At least he was humanely put down, unlike the deer.....absolutely disgrace!!
Chantelle Kostanowicz was very unprofessional and harassed me. I hope DNR Fires her. Picture for reference of her.
