Nova Plumbing Co

Unprofessional on phone. Came to house, didn't have the part needed to fix the problem in his truck. Told him that the landlord would write a check, but he couldn't produce estimate. He said would come back with proper parts in an hour after going and doing ANOTHER job first. Before he left I told him that the landlord would write a check, but he still couldn't produce an estimate. After TWO HOURS (instead of the promised one) I received a call from the plumber. He asked if I had a blank check from the landlord, which of course I did not because the landlord (like EVERY landlord) requires a bill/invoice to be shown FIRST before he cuts a check for the amount. Once the plumber heard I didn't have a blank check he said he wouldn't be coming after all... He said "I've been burned too many times on rentals to take the risk that he won't pay me..." WHAT!? ITS WHAT YOU DO!!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU CAN'T PRODUCE AN ESTIMATE!! You do the work, show the bill, the contractor/landlord/owner THEN cuts you a check... NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Worst part about this is, I took the morning off of work to be home for when he came, and because he had to leave to go do another job first, and considering his "one hour return" turned into a two hour non-return via phone call just to tell me he wouldn't be coming anyways caused me to miss a WHOLE day of work... I may just send him a bill for my lost time... STAY AWAY FROM NOVA PLUMBING. NOT PROFESSIONAL. When you deal in an industry where there's another plumber 5 minutes in any other direction you NEED to be exceptional... and sad to say this business is nothing close to exceptional. STEER CLEAR. P.S. Your website looks like crap.
