The only good thing is location.nnStaffs are unprofessional and lack of service. If u call front, he doesn’t even say hotel name or hello or say that it’s front desk. If u don’t say anything first within 0.000001 seconds when he picks up, he just hung up immediately. WOW.nnIf u leave sth in ur room by mistake and check out, unlike other hotels, it’s impossible to find it back. We immediately asked front desk to search for us as soon as we checked out, no one cares. So don’t forget anything. I saw other guests’ similar review too.nnWater drainage is so poor in the shower.nnNo elevator in annex building. And it’s uphill to get to main building to take shuttle. If u have heavy luggages, it could be challenging.nnNo matter the number of guests or nights u booked, there’s only 1 set of amenities. Which is super normal. But the problem is if u go ask more at the front desk, the guy will show u annoyed and suspicious face asking ur room number. If you want to charge for providing more, you can just ask room number in proper manner.nnThe room key in annex building never works properly. We got multiple keys, but only 1 of them worked and even that one needs multiple attempts to get in.nnThe trace of water leakage and mold in the ceiling. Extremely unhealthy and safety issue.nnKitchen utensils especially kettle, it’s not something u can use. Bring ur own kettle if u really need.nnRoom was not ready until 6pm, they lied to us that they are waiting our key cuz our building is annex. What does it mean? Key card u just make it ready by putting on the device at front desk. You can just say honest the room is not ready yet could you please wait.nnI will never come back. The most unpleasant hotel I’ve ever stayed. I know yellowknife hotel industry is not competitive but this hotel really needs to be improved.
We called the front desk and had the pleasure of speaking with Fatima to book our stay. She made a point of staying on the line with us until we had received the electronic confirmation, and ensured that all of our questions were answered. She was helpful, professional and gave us some tips for things to do while in Yellowknife when we arrive. Can't wait to meet her and thank her in person. She provided an excellent first impression.
We had a wonderful 4-day stay at Nova Inn Yellowknife just a few days ago. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with spacious rooms, reliable amenities, and a convenient location for exploring the city.nnA special highlight was the outstanding service from Fatima at the front desk. She was incredibly professional, communicative, and responsive when we requested a room with a kitchenette, she promptly arranged the upgrade and made sure everything was perfect. Her friendly and efficient approach truly made us feel welcomed and cared for.nnFatima’s attention to detail and willingness to accommodate our needs elevated our entire experience. We highly recommend Nova Inn and hope management recognizes what an asset Fatima is to the team. We’ll definitely be back!
Room was in a separate building, no parking so had to walk a fair distance with your luggage. Was parked to far away for vehicle to start with remote. No elevators in building so had to walk up to the 3rd floor with all personal belongings to get to my room. Walked in room, the heat was turned off but it was 28 degrees in the room. -30 outdoors and had to open the window to try and cool off the room to sleep, obviously something wrong with the heating system. Ended up hooking up the air conditioner and try to cool the room down. Was booked in here for 4 nights because of doing a coarse. Will not stay here again, terrible experience
I wish this could have been a positive review. I liked the room and the location. The reception staff were simply the most unprofessional and unwelcoming group I've had the displeasure of dealing with in my life. Not much more I can say.nnFor any of that team reading this, the only people who were friendly to us the whole time were the housekeeping team! They were all lovely. If you have one job, it's to make the people spending hundreds of dollars to stay in the hotel feel welcome. Try being polite, smiling, just showing any manners or hospitality whatsoever.nnVery poor.
