Stopped here for lunch on our travels through MN. Husband is a displaced Minnesotan and he was excited to see the tater tot hot dish. I had the tuna melt special with chicken and dumplings soup. Daughter had the hot beef sandwich. All delicious comfort food and huge portions with wonderful friendly service. Doesn’t take cards only cash or check. Would sure stop by here again if we get the chance.

Wonderful Small Town Diner. Best price in town! Groups of people were chatting over coffee after their breakfast, and the waitress calls everybody by their first name. Very pleasant! Parking: Small, one-way gravel parking lot. Two doors, so I found a spot; to back into, in the back & entered thie West door.

So good!!! The French toast might be the best I have ever had. We are visiting from TN and I wish I could take this place home with me. Kid-friendliness: The waitress was super nice to our 1 year old and they have small a la carte items perfect for lite eaters.

This is a fantastic "down home" restaurant for breakfast and lunch! The food is always great and the portion sizes are excellent! The staff are very friendly and make sure everything's going well. The atmosphere and furnishings are top-notch. It can get pretty busy, though, but you won't ever get lost in the shuffle.Food: 5/5

Easily best food and service in Douglas county. The pay in cash only makes it even better. Don't stop being awesome.

Found myself in Alexandria for breakfast on a Friday morning and this place hit the spot. Small town breakfast/lunch diner atmosphere. The waitress was polite and attentive. Prices are low they don't take cards and the portion was huge! Would recommend.

I get French toast every time I go and I'm never disappointed by how good it tastes. The service is always excellent, especially in the morning. She's very bubbly, has a great attitude, and is always smiling. The atmosphere is cramped, but the food is worth it.Food: 5/5

The food was wonderful, and the service was good. It was packed when we got there, but it didn't take real long to get our food after we ordered. Parking: The parking lot is a bit nuts, it wraps around the building and often appears full.

We love it here!! When there is not a lockdown we eat here almost every weekend. The staff are all super nice and helpful and remember us, the food is great and cheap, and there are a ton of options on the menu. Would totally reccomend to anyone in the area or passing through looking for a good down home breakfast or lunch.
