The place was busy but still room for more. It's like a mom's and pop's place, good food, good coffee, good friendly staff. The place was well maintained and well lite, clean and tidy. They even had fish on the wall. When every I am in this area I will come back. It's that good.
Is the place fancy? No. Is the food great tasting and generous? Without a doubt. The French Toast may be the lightest thing on the menu, so if you are a light eater, prepare for some delicious leftovers to take away. Even my lean-mean-eating-machine teenage son, who routinely devours entire pizzas at a sitting was stymied by the Truckers Breakfast, with three eggs, three pieces of ham and a mound of home fries. The gyro is melt in your mouth with crispy fries and a satisfying Greek salad. Same with the souvlaki dinner. Family owned and operated, you will often find three generations in the restaurant, with two of them offering you fast friendly service either at the cash, serving and cleaning tables, or in the back, prepping and cooking. The Northway is definitely with a stop for fast delicious food, and a chance to take a break from the usual rush of every day life.
Homey, food could use some work, but overall it was good. It's a truck stop, and home style cooks. My bacon was burnt but I ate it anyway. They are really nice people.Food: 3/5
Service and food were both fantastic. I had spaghetti and meat sauce and husband had hot beef. First time visit on our way to Trout Creek but definately not our last. Vegetarian options: Noticed vegetarian options on menu. Parking: Easy access for campers, tractor trailer etc
It was so nice, portions are massive and everything was so good.Food: 5/5
Very friendly service, we had the clubhouse and fries. Fries were perfect, crispy outside and fluffy inside. The clubhouse was delicious. Our son got the chicken parm. After seeing it we wanted that too. You should never leave this place hungry the portions are fabulous. The prices are fair. We will go back for sure.
We took a wrong turn off the highway and found this lovely little restaurant. Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside you will find amazing personalized service and great food.
What a wonderful little gem off the beaten path. Winter weather forced me me off the highway early for the night. My light-loaded semi trailer and ice left me stuck for a bit. Went inside, had a bowl of navy bean soup and pork souvlaki with poutine fries and gravy. Absolutely delicious food. The soup had just the right of smokey-grab and spices; beans were cooked to perfect texture. The souvlaki pork was juicy, tender and expertly seasoned. The salad was all fresh, hand-chopped veggies. Even the olives were robust with a subtle oily-smooth finish. The staff were attentive and warm, and even while I was eating, the elder gentleman who was running the place, had his contact with a dually, outside waiting for me at my stuck truck, and had already shoveled out my wheels, put salt down, and had the cable ready to go, before even discussing payment arrangements. To my surprise, the man only wanted $50 for all his work. I doubled it, and then threw in an extra $20, because I honestly don’t get to see that kind of integrity, skill, hard work, and sense of community often anymore. I will never forget this place or the kindness of the people who run it. Thank you so very much for taking care of this wayward Louisiana trucker. Until next time..
Excellent home cooked food and reasonably good prices Kid-friendliness: Lovely people who work there always friendly and ready to serve
Nicely welcomed and served just how we ordered. Wheelchair accessible. A lot to choose from! Greek salad is very good.
