After spending 2 days at Northumberland Hills Hospital last week to give birth to my first baby, I can honestly say the reputation of the Labour and Delivery team lived on and exceeded my expectations. While off to a rocky start with labour, my amazing midwives kept me calm. When a doctor and nursing staff needed to interfere, they were supportive, knowledgeable, and extremely kind. The care the nurses continued to give me and baby over the course of our stay was amazing. Thank you so much for your hospitality and care!!
My little one was taken by Ambulance to the hospital. She was taken right into a room and well looked after. She was taken right into x-ray. She enjoyed the popsicle and stickers the staff gave her to make her more comfortable. Thank you so much to all the nurse, the doctor and security guards for looking after us and keeping us safe.
The hospital emergency was fuller than full , one patient left and 2 more came in. The staff is the greatest. From nurse, doctors and cleaning staff were superb. No matter how busy they were friendly and smiling. I love the staff at our hospital
My mother had an aneurism that was dissected. I was called to the Northumberland hospital in the early hours of January 16th. I drove from Toronto as fast as I could. When I arrived at the hospital, my mother was still lucid and she whispered to me how kind and amazing the Dr. Dr. Bishop and the attending ER nurses were. I wish I could remember their names. I watched as Dr. Bishop and the entire team tried valiantly to save my mothers life. Unfortunately she passed away. I will never forget the professionalism, the kindness, and the heroic efforts that were made to ensure my mom was not in pain and to try to save her life. I have never met a team so empathetic… so human. Thank you to the entire staff at Northumberland Hospital for everything you did for my Mom. I will never forget it. My father was recently a patient in the 2a wing after a hip fracture/replacement. The nurses, the ot's, the assistants, pt, all of them were so amazing and kind. Thank you for choosing your proffessions, because you are all rock stars, and were so kind, thank you for taking such amazing care of all the patients there. Job well done!
