Been family doctor for last 5 years it was all good but in recent times the front desk staff have been rude. Wait times have become very long either phone or walk-ins. They usually take walk ins from 10 to 1 at most. Also doctors are always in rush , hardly getting any satisfactory answers. Pharmasave is adjacent and blood work can be done upstairs.
They cancel appointment without informing you. They do no bother to reach out to you via email. I had an appointment today with Dr. Manpreet which they cancelled and I had no clue. They called on wrong number which was not available or went on voice mail. They don’t deserve even 1 star. According to me they do it intentionally. Once I saw few patients arguing at reception for the same reason: cancellation of their appointment without notice. So please callwait for more than 30 min to confirm before going.
Very rude staff, not ready to listen. I have a family doc here, and when I am in emergency I needed to see the doctor I even came in extreme weather. But they said u can’t have phone appointment with the doctor because Bcz u didn’t see doc in person in last two years. But in Covid they were giving phone appointments, plus I had an accident, so was not able to come in person. when I finally came to see doc in person, she was on vacation. So how it is my fault if I could not see her due to genuine reasons. But they are just so stubborn and disrespectful following the so called protocols blindly. If someone is managing this location please look into it.
I was a patient here with Dr. Lisha Sethi Now Chander for 2 years. I was always kind and respectful because Covid put immense pressure on healthcare and workers have always had my sympathy. I also hate conflict and I respected the authority and knowledge of my doctor. The clinic was overwhelmed but did their best. My only concern with them is that when I requested my medical records they probably just sent me my entire digital folder and other people's documents were sent to me, mistakenly put in my file I guess. Dr. Sethi was always polite however she was negligent and dismissive. I don't truly know why but my theory is that because I'm fat, she assumed my problems were all my own fault. It never seemed to occur to her that people may become fat because they're sick and not the other way around. An organ not working right could make anyone unhealthy. I'll summarize as shortly as I can the ways in which Dr. Sethi was a bad doctor to me: -I asked her to fill out medical paperwork for me, the government would pay her for this service. She filled out half of it and then sent it to me. -Within the first 5 minutes of our very first meeting, which was over the phone, she tried to prescribe me SSRIs. I initially refused because they're dangerous if you don't need them but ultimately went on the meds. -I started feeling worse after some time. I slept excessively 12-15 hours and could not stop. The timeline lined up with starting the SSRIs. I asked to change or stop them and she said it wasn't a side effect of the meds and that was the end of it. Later learned it was a side effect, stopped taking them myself and the excessive sleeping went away. -She referred me to a specialist at a children's hospital. I waited weeks for them to write back that they only service children. -She spent multiple meetings telling me to take vitamins I am not deficient in. There was blood work proving it that she had access to. -We did a fair amount of tests that went nowhere and I wish we hadn't, but the reason is because every test I did was my own request. She didn't suggest a single one. Every test was based on my amateur research trying to diagnose my symptoms. -Her diagnostic method is to ask you what your symptoms are, and that's it. Her diagnosis was reliant on my ability to know something was wrong enough to mention, articulate it to her, and say it fast enough before she interrupted me. Always over the phone. -I told her I thought I had a medical condition over the phone, she said no immediately, because someone would have caught it when I was a child. I later got diagnosed with that condition after paying out of pocket for my own specialist. -I had to find my own specialists and request she refer me to them. -I asked to check up on a chronic condition that hasn't been looked at in 14 years. Most doctors would check on that yearly. She said no because even if they found something they wouldn't do anything about it. That it was pointless. Said no, and that was it. -I had fluctuating concerns on blood work. They'd peak and go normal. Instead of referring me to a specialist to figure out why, she had me do blood work, saw the level was normal again and told me I was fine. -She put me on supplements then said she'd test my levels again after to see if they improved. After the supplements she said there was no need to check if they worked even though I didn't feel better. -It was rare a consult was more than 7 minutes, mostly on the phone too. She'd ask what I wanted, I'd say it, she'd say yes or no and then ask no further questions or even advise me. She'd just say "Is that all?" I'd awkwardly say "sure" and she'd say goodbye. Doctor's get paid like $32.64 per consult. I try to be understanding that they're overwhelmed but I didn't even make $32 in an hour let alone every 10-15 minutes. It stings she got paid so much to make me feel like a hypochondriac. -I was her patient for 2 years and she never gave me a physical. She gets some slack cause of Covid but still. There's a lot more but character limit.
Unfortunately, a 1 star is necessary for wait time, on time appointments and most importantly the patient care giving by Dr. Manpreet Singh on 2 separate occasions. Both occasions were children. Both occasions both children ended up in a back up emergency room due to lack of care. Manpreet Singh was extremely dismissive, poor communication skills with little desire to explain or support his decisions on his opinion of zero action. Manpreet Singh based his medical support on "being a covid baby" on one of the incidence. He missed a ear infection, which required x14 days high dose antibiotics and pneumonia! A formal complaint has been launched, pending review. Unfortunately, North point medical themselves have zero patient relations and unable to assist with resolution. Our family doctor is at this location which Dr.Sethi is amazing. Moving forward Will be looking into transferring to another practice with more appropriate support when GP are on vacation or full booked.
Worst experience ever, if i could i would give a zero! Visited this clinic on Sat Sept 10, arrived around 850 am thinking the office opens at 9 as mentioned on google but they had already started to accept patients. Saw Dr Lisha C for a super sore throat to the point where drinking water was an impossible task. Doctor came into the room asked the routine questions and used a light to check my throat and breathing and concluded is was a viral infection without further inspection. Meds were given and was told not much can be done as its a viral infection so no antibiotics can be provided, rest and liquids was the solution and just like that the appt was done in less than 5 mins, spent more time in the waiting room then being throughly checked by the doc. Days go by the meds were ineffective and seven days passed and the sore throat got worse and worse to the point were i was unable to eat or drink without OTC meds. Got a another opinion as the pain was too much to bear and it turned out it indeed was a bacterial infection and ANTIBIOTICS WERE NEEDED!!! Had i not been misdiagnosed during the initial visit it would have saved me one week of torture! I am never going back here as this place just seems interested in seeing as many patients as possible while they are open!
Dr Mani is probably the most incompetent doctor to ever exist. He has no care for his patients. He’s arrogant, has poor communications skills and speaks so aggressively. I had a phone appointment on November 24 to renew my regular prescription. He “forgot” to send my prescription to the pharmacy. I called the clinic back on Friday and they mentioned that Dr Mani did not make any notes in my file regarding the prescription but they would speak to him and get back to me as soon as possible. That never happened. I called them again on Saturday and they said they will add me to his phone call list and he will call me by 10:30 PM. He never called me at all. I called them back again Sunday morning and explained the entire situation for the 3rd time and they said he will give me a call by 3:30 pm. He never called me. I am sick of chasing down this doctor along with the incompetent reception staff. This clinic should shut down completely. I would give negative stars if possible. Absolute lack of patient care or basic honesty.
I just got Covid and I called to get help from my family doctor Dr. Clive Snapes and the rude person at the front desk said I haven’t been there for 2 years. So by law they dropped me as a patient without notifying me and I couldn’t get any help suffering from Covid. I been a patient for over 10 years and all my blood work and other examinations from diabetes clinics have sent to them within the last 2 years. By law!!! No notifications!!! What a joke. What an excuse. I am so mad. I had a bad time with Covid and no help.
I visited the walikin today 3 hours before closing and they refused to let me in and excused about no walkin doctor available . They didnot even tried to understand the problem of the patient. First they should know the meaning of their organisations name and then Addresss the person.
Very long wait time, receptionists doesn’t listen when you talk, they kept interrupting. The doctors are also not the best. They are always rushing and its as if they really dont care about you. And just wants to finish your appointment right away. Dont ever go to this clinic.
