Northern Expresso Gladwin is located in Gladwin, Michigan in one of the oldest building in the town. Although it has hosted many businesses over the past 100 years was opened by Community Mental Health as a training site for the mentally impaired. The state closed the building in April of 2015 and was purchased in 2016 by Tonya Matthews and Paula Wessel. The new owners continue to offer free Wi-Fi for customers, coffee, specialty coffee, Special Roast coffee from The Thumb Roasting Company and a variety of baked goods. At the back entrance of the building is a large conference room that is also for rent for small to medium gatherings, business meetings, group meetings, or family get together, etc. It also has three apartments upstairs that are in the process of being renovated and will be rentable late 2017 as well as office space.
